Quick question, do undead retain their memories of their former life upon resurrection, do they forget them, or does it depend on the individual? Based on some NPC interactions I've coming across, I'm thinking it's the former but would like to be sure.

Intelligent undead, such as the Forsaken or Death Knights remember, but usually don't care. Stuff like ghouls or skeletons don't (not that they're smart enough to understand anyway).

Generally, from quests and most lore stuff, inteligent undead retain their memories from their past lives. Although I always thought it would be interesting to see an undead who didn't remember anything beyond their rise from their grave, certainly fun to play around with. I can't see why it would be impossible for an undead to have no memory of the time before, but it wouldn't be very common to see.

Mmk, so there's a good chance my hunter remembers who he was in life. Starting his journey and that's been itching at me. From what I was reading on Wowpedia, the newer Forsaken are risen bodies from battlefields so I suppose I should figure out where he would have come from. A fallen Gilnean, perhaps since that's a fairly recent battle?

Edit: Mordo says that you've been "dead for so long" so I guess a recent battle isn't the way to go. Hmmm...

Myri kind of figured out what how Indi and Zaruuk feel about each other and eventually I'll get to a post about how she's confused that she was eying up a guy who hasn't been exactly nice towards her. Right now though she's preoccupied with Swift cause i'm sure that fox will find something to blow up. maybe.
