Now listen, this ain't no make believe...
After countless months of on again/off again searching, camping, hoping, wishing, wanting, and everything else we hunter players like to do for luck while waiting for that one rare spawn that we just gotta have; Loque is finally mine!
I was hanging out in the Basin tonight/early this morning because I'd finished up all my daily quests, no guildies were on to bs with either. So I figured I'd park myself in the basin between the spawn points for Loque near the gorillas and chill with NPC scan and Silver Dragon running with cleared cache. Figured since it was getting close to the reset for daily quests I might just get lucky, and if he spawned I'd hear the hum while alt-tabbed out watching my John Morrison dvd on my comp. Heard the chime for quest reset go off, and decided to tab back to WoW and do a flyover of the known spawn points before hearthing back to Stormwind to start questing again. As I was flying near the dreadsabers my screen flashes and hums, my heart stops as I see Loque pop up on both NPC scan and SD. I target him as I'm landing and flat out running over while frantically mashing the tame beast hotkey.
He pounces me at first, breaking the tame, but I hit my hotkey again and get him on the second time. Once he's tamed and I'm catching my breath and just looking at his beauty, I realize that I left the dvd running because I hear John Morrison's entrance music playing in the background. Taking this as a sign, I name Loque 'Morrison' on the spot, then feed him to happiness before setting up his talents.
For those keeping track of this stuff, NPC scan said that he was spotted at 4:08:23 am server time on Vek'Nilash US near the Dreadsabers spawn point.
2 outta the 3 spirit beasts I want are in my stable. Ghostcrawler, your next buddy!

Grats on the tame!
I'm still hoping to get Loque, but no luck yet. But it's nice to hear a fellow hunter finally getting him.
Good one with the name. I think you're right, it must have been some kind of sign.

I'll be waiting on the highland, with its wonderful serenity.
Where the stars glow and the brooks flow, that's my way of life.
When the mountains on the highland, and the nature is surrounding me, when the wind blows, that's all I need.

Found there's a lot less competition for NR rares now with Cata out. Most players just blow through NR in a couple of days while speed lvling in BoA heirloom gear in their rush to get to the Cata content. Makes it easier to find/tame the NR rares, as seen by my luck this week on getting two that I could never find pre-Cata. Shoot for times to go look when server pop is low or most of the larger guilds on server are running their raid nights, as many 85's will be off raiding and not out trying to compete with you for the rare pets.
Now that I got the NR pets I want it becomes a matter of competing with everyone and their brother for GC and Sambas (who will be named after pro wrestler Chris Jericho to replace the current lion I've got in stable, also named for Jericho). Ghostcrawler is so outta the way that I think I'll wait a bit on him, and just spend time in TH looking for Sambas while picking herbs for the guild alchemists. If I can manage to get a couple 20 stax of herbs then even if I don't find Sambas in those couple hours of looking every couple of days, I'll still have accomplished something. =)

" Ghostcrawler is so out of the way " ... that's exactly why you shouldn't put it off! I think a lot of people don't bother right away because HE IS so far out of the way.. it's less competition if you try for him now.
Grats on your Loque by the way!

Pretty much all of this, I got GC within minutes of being out there BECAUSE he's so out there no one really wants to go out in the middle of nowhere to camp him.
Hail Thor-show thy might. Let thunder roar and lightning strike!
Hurl thy hammer into the fray. And let thine enemies know fear this day!
VICTORY, OR VALHALLA!!!
