What pets are u using in Cata

Hi I am Bunni a self confessed nutty pet collector who has nearly filled up the stable.... i am a 85 NE huntress on Hellscream Eu

I must admit having such a big choice of pet I cant seem to choice which ones to use all the time.

One I do use even though I dont like the looks is the shale spider for the buff.

My favourite is Loque I must admit. I seem to spend most of my time on WOW pet hunting rather than doing anything else

What pets do u use ???

On my main I use my ghostly demon dog 98% of the time otherwise it's my Evalcharr. Those two are my absolute loves.

The main pets I usually use on this toon are:
Sambas - he's usually my raid pet depending on the fight
Loque - when I want to be different
Rattlebore - for aoe heavy fights
OCJ - when we need his buff

This is usually, not always though

When I saw the little shale spiders while questing in Deepholme I knew I had to have one, in purple. Was kinda bummed after doing all the non-daily stuff in Deepholme and exploring all over there were no purple. Looked them up and found the purple ones were in a mine in Twilight Highlands, so I made that my next zone to quest in just to grab a purple one. And I typically don't like spiders and never wanted one of the icky things as a pet until the shale spiders. From what I've seen every other hunter on realm either has a red one from Deepholme or is out camping Jadefang, making my purple Victoria unique. I'll use her at times when me and a friend decide to two-man classic and BC content and I'm just tired of looking at Miz (dark purple warp stalker) or Flabber (dark blue/purple scarab beetle - yes, this one was named for the poltergeist on 'Big Bad Beetleborgs', couldn't resist when I saw it's coloration).

Still searching for Sambas to replace my gold classic lion, as I wanted him to be my new Jericho ever since I saw the ally guild mount parked in Stormwind. Now that I've got Loque, renamed Morrison, I use him for my Tol Barad daily quests as he can hold aggro decently (something Miz and Flabber have been having trouble with lately with me getting nice gear upgrades), and with how I specc'd out his talents he really doesn't drop in health quickly enough for me to worry about needing to keep healing him up. Even with the 'wtf 3 mobs spawning on top of me after I just killed one and haven't even had a moment to loot yet' that is one of the annoying things in TB. I can and have solo'd Shark Tank and Prolbim while using Morrison, as well as taking down the different bounty quests in the area solo with Morrison as well. When doing Mag's Lair two-man style just me and a bud on his fury warr, I like to use Morrison as well for the healing ability. I can pop lifebloom from herbalism, but my friend isn't a herbber, so having the ability to toss him a heal or two during the main fight is awesome.

When Deathmaw got re-skinned I had to let my old one go and make my way into enemy territory just to tame a new classic black worg model as I'd gotten really attached to seeing my big black shaggy unkempt looking CM Punk at my side, and the new skin, while lovely, just didn't feel right to be my Punk. My guildmates have gotten so used to seeing me with Punk now that they'll ask me why he's not being used if I use a diff pet for guild dungeon runs and on raids. Typically I'll use Punk or Jericho while raiding due to the buffs they provide and my ability to use them while in MM spec, all depends on which classes are in the group as to which of the two will provide the better buff for the group.

My personal preferences thou, Punk for sentimental value, as he was the first rare I wanted and tamed on my main hunter back in the pre-Cata days. He's the pet I've had the longest, the one my main hunter has the closest bond with. Morrison, because ever since I helped a friend out with some quests in ZD and saw the spirit goddess with the same look my initial reaction was "Can I tame it?", which made my friend laugh and inform me being a goddess she was not tamable, which lead to me searching for a tamable version with the same skin, which lead to many many many months of heartache during the search/camp which finally paid off recently in me getting a new friend. All the time spent searching for him just makes him all the more special now that I do have him.

Mainly used :

- Terrorpene for tanking elites or large groups of mobs
- Loque'nahak for soloing quests, soloing dungeons/heroics and for ''Node'' battlegrounds (AB, EotS, BfG)
- Nuramoc for ''Flag carrier'' pvp (WSG, TP)
- Death Ravager, Sunwell Dragonhawk, shattered hand warhound and Dishu for survival while on instances/raids
- Chrommagus for when we need some haste and no mage/shaman/other BM hunter
- King Krush... well, King Krush is the king, using it while on low level zones just to scare low levels for laughs.

Of the above, the ones I have been using more lately are Loque and Nuramoc

Active 5 wise? Since Im mainly BM;
Spirit Beast - Agi
Devilsawrus! - Crit
Snale Spider - 5%
Corehound - BL
Silithid - Stam
Why? Mainly as they cover common buffs and needs.
Stabled I have them all to cover raid buffs and depending on fight, setup and so on

Hmmm... Well, typically my average five on Rassaa are:
1. Korla (Karoma)
2. Russel OR Tinder (Sambas/Springpaw Stalker respectively)
3. Pyrros OR Any of my Madexx (Terrorpene/any Madexx but Brown)
4. A wolf of some sort OR a Devilsaur of some sort.
5. Anything I feel like...

I don't really have one "The Pet" for her, unfortunately.

On Vallrok...
1. Faron (Skoll) <3
2. Seamist (Ghost Hydra)
3. Any of my Saber Cats (All skins)
4. ^

I only carry around 3 for the most part cause i never know if i wanna go on a little tameing spree

1. My tank pet. Usually Jadefang/Gezzerak the Huntress/Red Madexx/Terrorpene (currently Jadefang)
2. My Spirit beast. Usually Skoll/Loque/Arcturis/Karoma (currently Karoma)
3. My dps pet. Usually as of late ive been using Takk the Leaper/Death Howl/Frostsaber Stalker (waiting for her to become Icesaber in 4.1) (currently Death Howl)

Well, I practically ALWAYS use my pet Loque, and I've met several other hunters (some Horde, some Ally) and they ALL had Loque, which kind of made me sad because he's not as unique as in WotLK. Anyway, I don't know if this is because he's GOOD for Cata or because Northrend's abandoned, he's easier to get, and he's popular.

I normally use Loque not only because he's pretty, but the heal he has, small but still useful, is useful to pull you out of a pinch.

The other pet I use, in PvP, (when I'm not using Loque, because face it, in a dungeon, questing, the heal is Epic, but in PvP it doesn't help that much

) is my croc, that power "Ankle Crack" snaps at the target's feet, reducing movement speed by 50% for 6 sec. That's very (to me) useful, considering the cooldown is only 5 sec. Hehe rogues hate meh

Anyway, hope this actually helps, I'm looking @ it and thinking "Chatter!"

I have about... Uhh.. 12 pets I use a lot. Some more than others.. But still.

They are..

Nick (Brown Madexx. Yes. Brown MADEXX. Not the common one. And no, I do NOT want any other Madexx. I actually ADORE the brown one. And no, I'm not insane. *Sighs* Anyway... This guy's my very favourite. He's with me almost all the time <3 <3 <3)
Vixen (Loque'Nahak)
Byzantine (Spiteflayer)
Castaway (Seagull)
Harley (King Krush)
Jadelost (Jadefang, of course XD)
Legacy (Takk the Leaper. Though not so much anymore. She still has little adventures with us.)

Dante (Sambas. He's actually currently named Monarch, but I'll be renaming him ASAP.)

Banryu (Spirit of Atha. She's in the same boat as Legacy, but there will be times where she'll tag along.)

Gotta love how my only non-rare/special pet is a Seagull of all things XD ... I also didn't realize how many pets I use frequently until I went and looked. Huh.

I'm still working on leveling my last few pets to 85 but for the ones that are already 85 and that I run with in my active 5 are:

Artashir (Sambas) for the buff and I luvs him :3
Torkoal (Terrorpene) or one of my Madexxes (have red and blue) for tanking
Peach (Ainamiss the hive Queen) for the Silithid buff
Envy (Loque) for the Spirit Beast Buff
And lastly, either ElCarne (diseased wolf) or Fallout (green corehound) depending on whether or not there is a Shammy.

Canoli (Ghostsaber)
Mohegan (Deathmaw)
Swift (Moth)
Riot (Corehound)
Skyshadow (Carrion Bird that I just tamed on her. Not sure if I'm keeping him or not)

I change my pets every single raid, so I actually use all my rares in combat rather than to just collect it and sit in the stables like some hunters tend to do. However I will always keep 1-2 of the same type of family every raid or pvp event.
For PVE:
1. I will always have 1 spirit beast in the case I go BM
2. Terropene (emergency taunt)
3-5: I randomly switch around unless raid buffs/debuffs are needed.

And for PVP I don't switch around as often.
1. King Krush (MS Debuff)
2. I switch either Jadefang (King, Web) and Sithilid (Fort, Web)
3. A normal spider always takes this spot in the case I don't use BM.
4. I switch around Olm or Aotona for a disarm. Sometimes I bring both since I have 2 pets with webs. Once a blue or green Madexx joins me, he'll be included.
5. Randomly switch around, although I usually take a cunning along.

Depends on what I'm doing...
1. Nosboaratu(undead pig) Bloodrage(red demon dog) Emberen(red outlands windserpent) and Tsathoggua(crocoslime) are my arch/fishing pets.
2. Mahkwa and Nahkoa(Arcturis and Loque) are my main questing/farming pets, along with Nacre(Chromie) and TypeTwo(sporebat).
3.Ayesha(Snarler) and Shay(Skoll) are my party DPS pets, and I"ll usually bring along Daksi(ancient turtle not on fire) or Yahkmar(white fuzzy worm) for emergency tanking. Generally Chip my yellow shale spider will be in the mix as well for his buffage, he's set up part dps part tank.

The rest can pop into any mix randomly, those are the ones I have set up for specific things. There's a couple others I'm still trying to figure out. Soggy the slime will eventually be my pvp pet, since I keep catching all these chimeras but just can't stand them. I only keep 4 pets on me for that "Gotta have it" tame.

1) Snow Leopnard - Dungeon DPS (Had this same pet since day one, even use him over Sambas)
2) Ghostcrawler - For Randomness, sometimes use his heal during PVP its a big save.
3) a Silthid - PVP
4) Terrorpene - Tanking if soloing
4b) I take the Corehound and leave Slithid if we have no shaman in group.
5) Always open incase I find a rare. I rare hunt in between dungeons and such, dont like going to Stable master all the time.

Since cata I've gotten back into using some of my old favs instead of just my wolf all the time

1st: Neko-my first pet ever, an old durotar tiger and I'm even more attached to him now then ever cause his kind went extinct
2nd: Chekov-my green turtle, been using him alot lately to tank old raid bosses
3rd: Scrab-an orange and purple ravager, 2 of my favorite colors on a freaky alien bug whats not to love
4th: Sajin-my tan fox, foxes are one of my fav animals and I was so glad when they were added
5th: Irogama-a Blue spiny raptor, I like the armor debuff he brings and he's just plain cool looking

6th: Zergy-a good ol yellow slithid, he's my first choice when I'm in a mood to use BM, love the energetic fidgityness of the bug
7th: Jadefang-the name should tell you what he is, actualy my first rare pet I like the green look on the shale spiders but was pissed when I found out the only green one was rare
8th: Hyoroga-a northrend worg, I still love my wolf but I'm glad he's not the only reasonable choice anymore

I got alot more like I'm sure everyone does but these are the ones I find myself using the most

Sorry for pics below, but not many of my main group are rares so it's easier to describe them from pics.

My main's team *always* has her boy Karma in it, and I'll use him for pretty much any and everything unless I'm specifically asked by the raidleader to use a different pet for the buff. Karma is a Nightsaber Stalker from Teldrassil:

But I swap out the rest of my stables reasonably regularly. When I'm in BM, I prefer to use exotic pets... Gondria is my favourite Spirit Beast, but I'll often use Arcturis as he's my bf's favourite.

My alt is less "into" her pets but seems to favour Loque and her light red/tan Chimaera Scarlett. She has stuck with her Lost Isles colour change raptor and white lion for a while too.
