My doctor had a freeing up today so he rang me to see if I wanted to come seeing as I was booked for first thing on monday. He looked and said it looked more like a coldsore than the ulcer I had before. So he asked for my BF to be checked up (he was there cos he droped me off, he was in the waiting room) and what do you know he had a cold sore on his face I thougt it was just a pimple he picked at but nope lol I have a cold sore on my vag XD Mixing that with the fact that my parts down there tend to bleed easly made the bleeding I had the other day and the pain.

Worst first day ever. X.x Extreme pain when I woke up and it only got worse even after ibuprofen. Ended up laying down for five hours with a heating pad, feeling like I had the stomach flu. Very nauseous and very bad pain.
Bleh.
At least it got better, I feel fine now.

Unrelated, but it's worth noting that if you do decide to shave, use a shaving cream intended for women - unless you like the tingly, burning sensation on your ladyparts.

Real women shave with body wash!*

*No they don't.

Too-Long Sheet Of Things To Consider Before The Visit And Potential HappySexyFunTimes:
1. Buy some lube. It doesn't fix everything, but it can come close.
2. The key to Pill use is that it's the same time every day-- but it doesn't matter when that time is. Morning, afternoon, night, whenever; if you can pin down a time when you're awake everyday, run with that.
3. Do not buy novelty condoms, as those are not legally required to confer STD/pregnancy protection. Also, they're ridiculous.
4. Do not buy condoms that come with spermicide, as those are useful primarily for giving you urinary tract infections.
5. There ARE some options beyond condoms and hormones. Diaphragms, cervical caps, sponges, and spermicides can be worth keeping in mind.
6. Morning after pill is better than nothing, if you need it. It's more expensive and has a higher failure rate than just about everything else though.
7. While you're at it, see if you can't read up on all the various birth control methods and their failure rates. Bit of a statistical headache, but if you're seriously concerned it's probably the best thing you can do.
8. If you read up and you're still Very Worried about babies happening (completely fair!) you should look into all the sex you can have that doesn't have any pregnancy risks. For instance, urban myths aside, nobody's ever gotten knocked up via oral sex. At least not without doing it horribly, horribly wrong.
9. Actually, you should look into that stuff anyways. "Insert tab A into slot B" does not always make for explosive sex. Depending on how the two of you are configured, it might not even be the most interesting part.
10. Hymens are a non-issue for many women. But for what it's worth, when the time came I was VERY glad I'd volunteered for a pap smear a couple weeks prior.
11. When you actually get there: relax, have fun, and go easy on both of yourselves. Nobody's ever perfect the first time they do something.

Quick question - for no reason after some particularly rough sex, my BF noticed I was bleeding. I can't really determine where it's coming from but does anyone know what the cause may be? It's possible he hit my cervix [he was behind me, sorry if that was TMI] and irritated it but I didn't even know I was bleeding until he said something. Anyway, I'm super worn out and just need some water. Hopefully it's no big deal. I have a gyno appointment coming up in 2 weeks so I'll ask her then as well. Thanks ladies :) This had just never happened before so I was kind of worried.

[TMI]

Still no period after close to a week now. >:l I don't know if it's stress, or the fact that I've changed my diet to include more fruity goodness and less soda, or if it's just being mean. I've noticed I get these pretty bad pangs of pain - kind of like cramps, but only on the right side and much more sudden/sharp - right up at 'the moment' so to speak, and it's never happened prior to this month. It really kills the mood and makes it hard to enjoy any alone time. >_> I'm hoping it's just a temporary thing, because it hurts bad enough to warrant stopping and I have a date soonish...

Also shaving is killing me. I love it, really, but I think I'd love it more if my crotch didn't turn into a flaming porcupine a few hours after I step out of the shower. It's always done this whenever I trimmed and/or shaved smaller areas, but I decided 'why not' a few days back and figured I'd get into the habit since I think it looks nicer...unfortunately, it doesn't look or feel nice at all - unless prickly red-skinned acne-breakout is the new style. I'm all for pseudo-suffering for 'fashion', but this isn't what I wanted or expected. I know people shave here - does anyone use Nair/Veet-type stuff or wax? Better? Worse? I'd really rather not announce it to the world and since Nair has to be bought specifically for the ladybits, I'm not sure how that'll go. Is it just something I have to work up to and it'll stop? I'm not exactly reckless with the razor here - brand new razor, plenty of shaving cream for sensitive skin, not tearing around the landscape like a lawnmower on crack...

[/TMI]

And thanks for the previous advice, ladies. :] I'm all excited(take that as you will, lol).

I found that the advice given earlier to go with the grain of the hair helped me to have less irritation after shaving, but it sounds like you're doing all the right stuff so I'm not sure what to say. =/ If anything you could always try asking your doctor why it's happening.

I have no idea whatsoever if that works, but I know that some sextoy shops have a gel/cream to help with the spots. Dunno, maybe drugstores have it aswell, I personally have not tried this. But if you do want to shave that might be something to look into? One kind is Nature Body: Bikini line (don't know how worldwide they are though)

My sister is sixteen with D's or bigger. Haven't asked her recently.

Unfair to me. :)
