DCing to get to Jadefang

I was wondering if anyone could please clarify how it's done? Does it require luck as much as technique?

I got on my flying mount, disconnected the cable, flew in to Jadefang's ledge, reconnected it, and sat there for - it must have been 5 mins or so. I got a "you have been disconnected from Battle.net" and a "you have been reconnected to Battle.net" message. As my game obviously wasn't going to DC me or load, I control+alt+deleted it. When I logged back in I was outside, where I'd started.

The time prior to this I was disconnected before I even got to the cave hahaha.

I'm probably going to miss the Jadefang spawn that's up there today but if I did something wrong or can get fast enough replies I can know for now/next time? ^^

I have an external cable modem, so if you're not running one YMMV.

When you're at the entrance of the cave (far enough in to not get dismounted), you unplug the ethernet cable.
Fly in and hang left, sometime before you leave the donut tunnel plug the cable back in. Hopefully the plug is in easy reach for continuous flying... I had to use my toe.

It will most likely take a few embarassing tries and explanations on why you're chain-DCing, but if you get lucky you will land on the ledge and all the spiders will finally spawn.

Edit: I think my modem/net is too slow and old and crappy to connect fast enough I got my sister to help and even when we pulled it out and put it straight back in, while I could get to the ledge it took longer than that to reconnect (x_x) which I think was the problem maybe :/

Unless we waited outside until it was connected... then tried... Hmmm...

1. Try to bring your latency up to a LOT to like 2000 (Bittorrent, youtubes etc). If you didnt manage to do that, like me, and you have like 60 ms its gonna be hard. But i managed to get jadefang twice anyway, took me about 15 tries
2. Position yourself inside the cave where u still dont get dismounted (The light area in the opening). Try flying into the cave, and test where u get dismounted with your latency. Do that about 5 times.
3. Put one hand on your mouses two buttons (You fly forward if u press them both) and one hand on your ethernet cable to your modem or computer.
4. Fly in fast as hell, and disconnect the cable really fast before the area where you usually dismount with your latency. (For me it was when i just got into the circle, and sometimes just after the worm inside the cave)
5. Continue flying while disconnected. Take the LEFT route cause its faster than flying right in the circle tunnel.
6. Plug in the cable fast as hell before u disconnect when you are ALMOST at the jadefang cave opening. As soon as u are almost at the jadefang cave start spamming spells before u DC, so the server recognizes that you were THERE and not at the start where u unplugged.
7. Log in fast again and be prepared to turn around and disengage (if u managed to aggro smth) if you spawn ALMOST at the opening. If you did the disconnecting at the right time and fast enough, you are there =)

Unlocking Jadefang:
First and foremost, you are going to have to wait for a certain Therazane daily quest, specifically Underground Economy. The quest is given by a Goblin NPC named Ricket in the crumbling depths. The daily quest gives you an item called Ricket's Tickers and is used to explode crystals around the caves, then gather them.

The key is using this item and its side effect, which is mentioned by the NPC. To quote: "I've got a nasty habit of packin' the explosives a bit thick. Mind the kick.". For those who aren't sure what that means: its a massive knock back, you will go flying 30+ yards.

Tunnel Navigating to Jadefang:

1.
Enter the Crumbling Depths, continue going straight, deeper into the crumbling depths.
2.
Once you see the colossal gyreworm (level 85 elite, non-attackable) pathing, go right and follow the same direction the gyreworm is heading.
3.
You will pass by one dead end tunnel before being in a large cave with many tunnels to choose from. Head into the far right tunnel.
4.
Take your first left when it presents itself, it should dead end back in the big open cave area.
5.
Looking in front of you, you should see a dark green crystal. To the far right you should see an elevated cave entrance (with a red glow inside) that is completely unreachable.
6.
Now the fun part. Who is ready for some Goblin engineering fun?
7.
You now have 2 options to get to Jadefang

Bomb Option #1 (Shorter Distance)

1.
Mount up while at the dead end. Jump onto the dark green crystal infront of you. You must be mounted to make a jump onto the dark green crystal structure in front of you. (Other speed increasing methods may or may not work: rocket boots, sprint, etc.)
2.
Once you've made it to the green block, face your back in the direction/angle that you wish to be hurled. Place Ricket's Tickers in front of you and watch yourself go flying like only a Goblin invention can make you (I am looking at you, malfunctioning Rocket Boots).
3.
If you miss, repeat the last couple of steps till you get it, Ricket's Tickers have unlimited charges for you to try with.
4.
Once you make it into the tunnel, if you are very lucky, Jadefang will be waiting for you.

Bomb Option #2 (Longer Distance)

1.
Face your back in the direction/angle that you wish to be hurled. Place Ricket's Tickers in front of you and watch yourself go flying like only a Goblin invention can make you (I am looking at you AGAIN, malfunctioning Rocket Boots).
2.
If you miss, repeat the last couple of steps till you get it, Ricket's Tickers have unlimited charges for you to try with.
3.
Once you make it into the tunnel, if you are very lucky, Jadefang will be waiting for you.

What OS are you using? For my Mac I just clicked the Internet Connection thing on my taskbar and selected Turn Airport Off and flew to Jadefang's ledge easily; if I remember correctly for PCs you can just right-click your little Internet Connection button on your Taskbar and select Disable. Should work.

My modem is elsewere in the house then my gaming comp, so I had to turn my comp backwards to reach the ethernet cable. Here is what I did:

I got as far in as I could on my flying mount (310% speed) into the cavern before it dismounted me. I backed out slightly and got on it.
Then I had left hand on mouse and right on cable.
Pulled plug only slightly so I could just push it back in.
As I pushed the buttons down, I unplugged. Take the shorter route, (left side) and go directly into the outer lip of his spawn point.
As I landed, I plugged the cable back in and spammed a /lol macro multiple times.
I laughed and laughed and got my jadefang.

I suggest using a software called Netlimiter. Just use it to crank your Download speed down to, say, one bit per second, and then fly in. When you're in, just turn it off again and enjoy. :D

ur Gmate was using netlimiter which warden sees as a exploit.

i manually DC'd to get jade and the mini pet and got reported the 2nd time around, a day later a gm poped up and asked me if i did the DC thing and i said yes, asked if i was using any internet limiting software, i said no. said that while it is cheap and frowned apon as long as ur not using software to get it done its not an offense. But that repeated use could possibly get it elevated higher up the chain.

I ended up just doing the rest of the quest chains on my alt and getting her achieve so I could get the bomb haha. But thanks for the help everyone xD I'm not sure if I was doing it wrong (probably was) or if my internet was fail, but as far as I could understand my modem just takes too long to reconnect (It'll take about a minute or so, perhaps a little less) so by the time it connects I'm thoroughly DC'd. It does make me wonder if I could manage to fly the whole way there if I try when mum is on Farmville, sending my latency up to around 10k. Now that would be interesting haha.

The original poster is apparently playing a night elf, so I would really recommend the suicide method. It's not very hard.

1. Get to the area below Jadefang's cave.
2. Get right below the cave itself.
3. Take off all your armor. (Make sure you have enough free bag space!)
4. Aggro one of the gyre worm things, and have it kill you.
5. Fly back down to your corpse as a wisp. However, fly up to the opening of the cave.
6. You should be able to resurrect inside the cave.
7. Put your armor back on, drop a trap, and wait for Jadefang / tame right away!

That's how I got my Viridion (Jadefang tame)... and the companion pet to go with V.

this is why everyone should get and keep that daily, so you can help friends by blasting them onto the ledge or blasting yourself up there and guild summoning them.
