I wonder if they only appear if you take the quest to go see Genn or if it's just a random event?Kamalia wrote:Huh. That's funny, Tyrande and Malfurion didn't show up when Mordakai went to Darnassus. Must have bugged out or I left too soon.

I'm guessing either you left too quickly or perhaps it was on timer from the last worgen to hand in the quest.

It lands heads-up for EK!

It lands heads-up for Westfall!))
Dear diary
Well there are plenty of areas open for help but I'm not the only one looking for adventure. Rather than poke my muzzle into every situation I closed my eyes and put my finger onto the board. When I opened them I was pointing myself to Westfall. So be it. Back on the boat to the biggest human city on Azeroth. (Of course Gilneas was far grander before the attack.)
The place was positively bustling! I chose to wonder around in my human form, if only to save space more than avoid attention. Tune wasn't particularly happy either; I wonder if I'll ever get her used to people. Anyway I'm currently sitting under a tree by the river seperating Elwynn Forest and Westfall. Lets go see what adventure it has in store.

Well that wasn't quite the start I was hoping for. No sooner had we arrived did we find a crime scene; two farmers and their horse lay dead on the road with investigators standing over them. The lead guy, one Lieutenant Horatio Lane told me to ask the nearby homeless people. I felt a pang of guilt; no one should be forced to live without a home! What made it worse was the fact that the field Horatio pointed me to was practically crawling with hobos.

<There is a small spattering of blood here>
That didn't go down well. I asked one guy what he saw only for him to turn on me like it was all my fault. He was so intent on killing me that I had no choice but to shoot him. Poor bastard. I did however gleen some information from other, less hostile individuals although one or two would not talk until I passed them a few coppers. “Gnolls” and “murlocs”. I have never before heard of such creatures. But that is all the informaton I was able to wring out. Horatio doesn't believe me though, claiming that the scene was too perfect to be an attack from either. With such little information he was forced to give in and instructed me to find further clues at the camps where these odd-sounding things reside.

That was... disturbing. Even before I reached the camps I caught the scent of rotting flesh and fish. Even Tune turned her nose up at it. Getting closer we found some very odd creatures indeed. I'm assuming that the hyena-men-things are the “gnolls”. Foul things. Not nearly as bad as the fish-men I'll guess are the “murlocs”. I'm glad that's over, at least I found some cloth and a crumpled up letter; they should be useful in some way.
Or not. Apparently they're worthless. Horatio, out of leads, sent me to find an accomplice of his over at, ironically, the farm the murdered farmers had lived at. “Two-Shoed Lou” seems a bit shady to me but I'll play along. He wants me to take a crate into the nearby mine and hide in it. As I took his crate another man asked that I thin the kobold numbers while I'm down there. ...Kobolds?
Just as I was leaving the farmhouse I was called back, yet again, to a rather odd lady by the name of Mama Celeste who is cooking “dirt pies”. I don't want to know really. Yet somehow I agreed to gather some ingredients for her... dirt and coyote tails. Sounds appetizing. Not.

Why she couldn't just go outside and get them herself I have no idea. The place has plenty of dirt and coyotes roamed freely! Anyway I got her “ingredients” and made to leave for the mine. Celeste stopped me one more time and gave me a “pie” too as there was enough for one left over. I thanked her of course, but I think I'll leave it for the boars.

And now rat-men. Brilliant, what other animal-human-hybrid freaks does Azeroth hold in store? I mean other than worgen. Clearly. Wading through the vermin and making sure to kill as many as we could catch Tune and I forced our way to the back of the cave. It is oddly empty here. No kobolds. Better make the most of it, I thought. Damn but this crate is small, even in human form its hard to write- Wait, what's that sound?

An ogre -a mage by the looks of it- and a woman wrapped in shadow. The shadowed woman offered power to the mage. A recruiter of sorts. At first the ogre declined but then changed his mind (minds? The guy has two heads!) when the woman threatened to kill him. Whoever they are they don't seem trustworthy, possibly even the reason for the happenings in Westfall. Hopefully Lou can tell me where to go next.
He did. Well, kind of. He doesn't seem to want to get involved despite his position. He wants no more, but before parting ways he mentioned soe thugs attacking while I was gone and that they're still behind the building...

<Another blood spatter>
What is with people and smacking me in the face today? Anyway turns out the thugs were in league with the shadowy figure we saw in the cave. As I returned to the front of the farmhouse my stomach flipped: someone had killed Lou and left his boots on his head. Needless to say the local hobos were too petrified to be of help. What did surprise me was Horatio's presence. How'd he get here so fast? The lieutenant feels he has a lead though and sent me to Farmer Saldean at Saldean's Farm.

<There are some tear stains here>
I took pity on the terrified people. Tune too, now she's more used to humans, seemed reluctant to leave them. What if the shadowy figure struck again? It hurt but I knew what had to be done. Tune's learned enough from me and staying here will do good both for her humanisation and to protect the hobos. At first she didn't quite get what I was asking of her but once I started stroking her head and told her to help she nuzzled against my leg before curling up by the fire, emerald eyes watching. I will visit often Tune. Take care of yourself and your new charges.

No sooner had I put distance between myself and the farm did a giant shadow fall across me. I looked up to see possibly the biggest carrion bird I'd ever see! He was jet black and easily three times the size of the resident buzzards... In fact one made sure to stay close to him. A mate possibly?

The birds attacked without warning. I put my hands in front of my face, warding off his talons. Strikes came fast, vicious. Thank goodness for my thick fur. Just as suddenly as they attacked the birds stopped. I waited a few heartbeats before looking up. The black one was staring at me with piercing red eyes, cocking his head as if to get a better look at me. To my surprise he then turned on and killed the other vulture. Did this mean...?

((Ignore the hearts there. I'm defending myself dammit!))
To my confusion the black bird landed next to the corpse of his once-flock member, assuming it was, and made squeeks and chirps almost as if he were singing a requiem for the dead bird. Once finished he tucked in. Carrion birds. Go figure. But I have an idea for a name now... No. Why would he suddenly join me like that? Let's test that.
I gave him some meat. He glared at me for a moment then reached out, tentatively, picked the meat out of my hand and hopped a short distance to eat. He never stopped watching me. Shivering with shock I turned to leave the bird in peace, but he followed me. I get a feeling of sorrow while he's near; despite the perma-glare he seemed almost bereft. It doesn't look like we'll be parting any time soon.

With Requiem following me I continued my journey to Saldean farm. I admit I'm fit to fall right about now and Farmer Saldean picked up on that quickly, ushering me upstairs into the guestrooms and bandaging my tattered paws. I'm still amazed how quickly people are taking to me and other worgen. Word must have spread pretty fast. Requiem had to stay outside though. He didn't mind; he simply perched on the window sill. Still watching. Good night diary, I doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

Think I'll go bump it actually, some names still need pets assigned to them ^^
