Still have your original toon???

First character I ever made. Undead. Warlock. Male.

Still have him. I don't play much on the server he's on anymore, but I still have him. Every time I look at his name, I remember how I felt when I first started playing WoW. I remember the hardships, the love, the "OMFG SERVER SHUTDOWN" panic when I had no clue what was going on. (Everything just froze, I got kicked to the login screen, and I couldn't do jack). I even remember my first guild, the disbanding of said guild, my trials to get him high enough to start a DK, and how I never touched him after that.

I still have Chulos. I reroll him occasionally on new realms, play around a little, but I still have the original character. There is nothing available that can take away the memmories I have from him. I still have the half hearted character bios, the ideas for fleshed out backstory, everything. I will never delete him. Ever.

I've thought about it. Come close to it many times. But I have never done it. How can you remove a part of your soul made real?

Still got her, she's still got the third pet she ever tamed and is GM of the guild we started the second week of release. Sukul'atae and Fruitlupus are level 70 now. I just can't face Northrend again...

In a way yes... My first of the first was a Night Elf Hunter, who never even reached level 10 because I fell of Teldrassil and couldn't find my way back. :P Frustrated, I deleted her... And created Nanyana (who looked almost exactly the same, mind you XD), who is still my main. Nowadays I really regret the face I picked for her, but I could never change it.. Because then it wouldn't be my dear Nani anymore.

Kind of, my original toon was a hunter of the same name and appearance to my second ever toon, but I got to around Lv 6, entered the furbolg caves in the Night Elf starting area, and died. I couldn't figure out how to get out since I didn't know about the spirit healer and every time I ressed I died again, so I deleted it and made exactly the same character again, which is now my main and always has been.

Still have my original toons! Rarely delete characters. One's still level 20 after the trial finished!

My very first main- a troll shaman known as Flute on the Alonsus server was eventually booted to Argent Dawn (due to some wonderful drama) and changed into Nemena. My original undead warlock, Yolle, transferred servers and was eventually racechanged into Jestera, a troll! My very very very first toon, a druid known as Tinten, was also remade on Argent Dawn. She's now a troll druid known as Thallow.

In short: characters still exist! They've all become trolls or have different names now.

Yeh, my first character is my main, won't ever change. I did, however, used to be a Blood Elf (and a huge Horde fangirl lol), swapped to Alliance after some RL and in game issues (and took all my chars with me- here Blizz take all my $$ ) and am now a Draenei, much more fitting. I miss the old Horde, I just feel like an outcast there now, which is why I ended up packing up my whole roster, save for my lone hunter alt- who used to be a Draenei hunter and is now a Belf lol. I still have all of my old characters, I think. Only deleted bank alts.

I think my fourth or fifth toon got the axe to make way for other alts but my original 3 are still alive and well.

I still have my first character, my Draenai shaman Lotusii. I don't really play on Argent Dawn much if at all anymore because of her guild going dead and most of the people I know on the server not playing anymore. I wanted to transfer her to a new server but I don't feel like paying for that when I have computer problems right now and can't play much now anyway. Maybe someday I'll server transfer of faction change her or who knows? But I don't think I could ever get rid of her.

Sorry for sort of bumping this but I have an update.

Artrellia was restored but with one, or maybe several, minor hiccups. The main one being it's been so long since I'd played her and deleted her I COMPLETELY forgot my starting server was Bloodhoof. So when I first logged in and didn't see her on my character list I heart sunk because I didn't see her name. With baited breath I log into Rexiah, which is who I sent the ticket in on and saw there was a response to my ticket. Waiting to exhale I opened the ticket and read his /her response. She's been restored (YES YES YES) but on Bloodhoof. /facepalm /sigh /sad
I was excited yet sad and then a bit perturbed simply because how hard could it have been to send her to Nesingwary upon restore???? But hey, Blizz has gotta make that $25 on a realm transfer right??
I excited logged out and changed realms. I just had to see her. And, well, my heart once again sank when this is what I saw.

Yep two levels lower then I originally thought and naked. Ugh. I couldn't log in and went back to Nesingwary very stunned and freaked out. Reported it to the guild then through talking decided to head back and really look at what work I had in store. I go back to Bloodhoof see her naked moo cow self standing there and hit the Enter World button, again with baited breath. Get in and there she is standing naked in Orgrimmar. My mind was now flooded with memories and stories I'd heard of people who'd been hacked and realized this is what it must have looked like to them. She has no gear, money, talents, rep, nothing. Freaked out even more I logged out of her not even thinking to check what pets she has then went back to Nesingwary and reported the findings. Once again my curiosity brought me back to Bloodhoof and running to the stable master to see what she had.
THREE PETS! That's it. Three! Holy crap! She had only Mazzranache, Echeyakee and Snort. This was the final mind blower for me.
So Artrellia is like she was the day she was created, but level 52 and with three starter pets basically.

Once more back to Nesingwary I go and make this final shocking report. I know she needs to come "home" to Nesingwary. I log off and start the process of the realm transfer. I have a lot of work ahead of me on this one. This won't be easy but I'm sure, in the long run, it will be so worth it.

She was originally created on Gnomeregan (if I spell that wrong, don't correct me ok? ) in Vanilla WoW, although not like the first day or anything. Later on, god I remember I finally got to level 30 for my first mount, got the money, trained, bought the mount. I was like OMG I GET A MOUNT! FINALLY!
Couple days later they came out with the patch that let you train at level 20, and the gold required was GREATLY decreased. I was like .......X_X
Hehe, similar thing happened with my friend, he bought dual talent when it was 1000g, and a week later when Cata was released, he was like WTF ITS ONLY 10 GOLD NOW?!

Litlemouse went through a name change on her server transfer to Vashj, from Littlemouse she changed to Litlemouse. (Littlemouse was already taken, I was almost heartbroken I loved her name so much at the point )

Started back during BC, made a troll rogue named Niknab.
He still stands proudly on the top of my character list, looking down upon my other characters.
I don't play him much anymore, but he's still... Umm... He's heroic geared... Kinda.

Actually went about transferring him over to a realm, then back to my main realm after that got boring.

Also been RPing him since I started so... He's built up quite a story since then.

The friend that got me into WoW had me role a NE so we could lvl together but I rolled Bodhran on the side to do what I wanted by myself. Also because we rarely ended up playing on them. >.> Up until towards the end of WotLK Bodhran was only played on the holidays to get all the fun holiday things and pets. He was less then 20 all those years. Like 3 or more. I started playing WoW during BC. I deleted my original NE soon after its creation so Bodhran to me is my true original that I had full control over his creation and bringing to life. Though he took a back seat to my old main Harbinger my warrior and then Vargr my Ally hunter that I made to play with my brother's Ally ele shammy.

With Cata looming I started burning through the lvls with Bodhran and he was the first to get capped and geared in Cata. Felt good to do that on my 'original' loved toon.

All my mains (yes I have mains lol) are on my original server.

I'd say if you are going to at least give your original toon like 30% of your WoW time and you enjoy playing on that character and it was high enough a lvl that you don't feel like re-birthing them with a new creation then go for the effort to ask for them to restore him/her.

Edit: Holy heck I've never deleted a toon that was higher then in their 20s I don't think I could bring myself to delete a toon that was almost at 60 even more so when they where lvled back in the day when lvling took a ton of work unlike today.

Even more reason IMHO to bring he/she back.

I still have my first character, a dwarf hunter named Bruindar. He has his first pet, one of the grey boars from Elwynn Forest. But he's been shelved for a long time, cause we started playing horde, in classic WoW.
I think he was around level 40 when he got shelved, but he's level 70 now. So I have been playing him from time to time.
My other main (if you can call it that) is Smyelmdar, a troll hunter. He was originally a rogue that I got to level 10 before we really switched. So when we decided to play horde fulltime, he was remade as a hunter, since hunters always have been my prefered class.
I still consider Bruindar my main though. I experienced all the nice things of being in a whole new game with him. But on Smyelmdar I also experienced a lot of new stuff, since he had been my main through Burning Crusade, and up to Wrath.
He's level 83 now, and I now play on Ileria, a blood elf hunter that I made as sort of a test character, cause I wanted to try blood elves when Burning Crusade came out.
She got tailoring and enchanting, so we used to send all our cloth and items to her, for her professions. So I had to level her to level professions. And now she's the character I play the most.
Long confusing story.

Smyelmdar still has his levelling pet, that I died a lot of times trying to get at level 27. It's Naraxis.
Ileria also has her first pet, which is Mazzranache.
Bruindar also has his Broken Tooth, that used to be an awesome pet. I just can't abandon her, though she's just a plain lioness now...

Edit: I also have most of my other characters that I've made over the years. Lots of them has the old PvP titles, so I have not wanted to delete them. But I rarely delete my characters. I think the highest level character I have deleted, was a level 40 warrior that I had boosted up to that level. And when Cataclysm came out, I wanted a goblin and had no free space, so the warrior was deleted and remade as a goblin rogue. (Thank you Blizzard for not giving us more character slots).

My first toon was a Druid NE on a trial account back in 2008. I don't remember what realm or any details, but I got her to a lvl 20 I believe before the trial ran out?

I didn't play for a long while until my husband found one of those free private servers. Played that for a couple of weeks then I forgot what happened. I think he had issues with his computer and we had to reformat or something so we just never redownloaded it.

Then around March 2010, a friend of mine coaxed me into playing. I finally got a trial, played it then he convinced me to get at least BC. I did so and got my NE Druid (Lithionel) up to lvl 70 in like 3 weeks. But because my husband was the only one working at the time, and we didn't have the money to really continue my sub and for me to get WotLK, I ended up stop playing.

For Christmas 2010, my brother-in-law and his wife bought me the disc set for all but Cata. My husband got me Cata for an early B-Day present since my B-Day is in late January. I have been a full on addict since Dec. 31. lol

I actually still have my first ever character. Lvl 38 human warlock. Why did I choose a human to be my first? >_< I played her up to 20 with the trial, and then started a druid that was supposed to be feral, and got her up to 18-19 before my trial ended. And hehe, I think I got boosted through dungeons from 20-38 with my boyfriend, so no real experience from actually doing something on her. :p I kept leveling the druid when I upgraded though, and later on started the hunter. I eventually faction and realm changed the hunter and the druid, while poor lockie is stuck on Daggerspine. I want to keep playing her, but not as a human. But my main server is full. Now I can't delete anything more

My beloved hunter is my original toon ^_^
Back in the days of '04, on the PvP server of Bleeding Hollow back when I was 13 lol (almost 19 now! Teenage years = owned by WoW), she was Maaru the Night Elf hunter (Maaru is now a priest ). Maaru (the hunter) became Plueberry when she moved over to Anvilmar, then she went on to become Pluemeria the Blood Elf.. and then once again, returned to Alliance as Plue the Worgen xD
She's been transferred so many times, it's ridiculous.

But even thought I love my hunter to death, I think my priest has taken her place as the 'main' toon. My priest gets everything - mounts, pets, tabards, achievements, raids.. Plue's main job is pet hunting =P

Shade is my original toon-though she was a blood elf to start. She had a few name changes, for various reasons (mainly because I couldn't find a name I really liked). She was faction changed to alliance as a dranei and then when the worgen came out she got a race change too.

Still there yes. I've got 3 characters I play on, the first two (Hunter and Priest) more than the third (Druid).
All of them have gone through some changes (race changes, faction transfer, sex change, you name it >.>; ), and my hunter has now got my priest's name (been wanting to swap their names for ages, and had the chance to do it during server transfer). So, they're all still out and about, just in little bit different forms and names. :3

I still have Kaellan (obviously), she started on Proudmore and then changed over to Runetotem when part of my guild went there. Originally, I picked certain races because of the mounts. So Kaellan is a nightelf because of the kitties and I picked orc for my horde main (Kaefin) because they ride wolves.

My very first toon was a gnome warlock Imawizo, and hes managed to stick with me all the way to 85.
