Possible bug in ICC ?
I was talking to my hunter friend earlier today and he mentioned a very good Idea for bringing down Deathbringer. He said it works if the Gunship is not present or if you reset. The trick is to tank the boss near the ledge so that when the beast come out the druid can typhoon them back and push them right off the edge to there death. I love that idea but I have to wonder how impressed blizzard would be if we used that trick.
What do you guys think ?

If you're doing something that purposely takes advantage of a glitch or are attempting to to trick the game mobs, then I'd say it's pretty risky. The fact that you're asking about it should be proof enough that Blizzard probably wouldn't look to kindly upon such methods.

I wouldn't really say It's taking advantage of a bug. However I have not tried it as I'm still very iffy about it. The entire point of that fight is managing the beast that come out. If you don't have to deal with them , then your giving yourself a huge unfair advantage.
Re: Possible bug in ICC ?
Actually there's two different kinds of bugs.
Ones where you break the game to profit: see banned guilds and etc
Bugs that are just there bugs. Example would be Love is in the Air and if you equiped your lance and got on your pony and charged down zombies at the foot of the citadel, you could literally get 1 charm for every 2-3 zombies you plowed over. Lots of people did it, no one got into trouble, Blizzard just fixed it.
Blowing the beasts off a cliff I think would be more in line with a bug of the latter sort. You're not tricking the game into doing crap it shouldn't be doing.
You're just taking advantage that there's no invisible wall and you can hurtle things to their deaths.
I mean if a Tauren can single handedly defend TB from an ally raid by wiping over half of them via Typhoon...
I say go for it. You're 'managing' them.
Right off a cliff :D

Hmmmm I don't know. Wouldn't that push the boss off the edge to or atleast push him back ?Ryai wrote:Actually there's two different kinds of bugs.

Re: Possible bug in ICC ?
This "bug" was fairly common knowledge among raider for a while now, to the point that blizzard has already gotten wind of it and it is no longer possible to do (from what I've been told anyway). It was very handy at the start, but as the buffs that we are now getting inside ICC now are only going to get higher, Mr Saurfang will only get easier.
Most people can PUG or get though the 1st 1/4 fairly easily now though as it has been nerfed a few times

Hmm. The ship was not there once. I'm gonna give this a try and see if it works.
Re: Possible bug in ICC ?
I think they already fixed that so either they won't go over there or they teleport back up.

If they teleport back up if the bug hasn't gotten fixed, I vote that Blizz should make them say something along the lines of "I have a new respect for Portals now..."Tahlian wrote:I think they already fixed that so either they won't go over there or they teleport back up.

Re: Possible bug in ICC ?
I'm a bit confused. Even if the bug has been fixed, before it was fixed--isn't this the same sort of thing Ensidia did, and got banned for?
I mean, pushing blood beasts off the edge by means of using a mistake in the programming to beat a boss. Isn't that the same as discovering that bombs reset part of a boss fight...and then just keep going?
