Just tried to go solo this like on PTR, yeah... not happening.. the guards and the snakes can see through camo now
Has anyone pulled off a successful (non PTR) solo tame yet?
If so, please let me know how you did it! Thanks!

I was actually considering trying one of these out on a whim.

I didn't manage to tame one because the server restarted and I couldn't get back in afterwards, but I did get to the cats easily on my own. When I entered the instance I used Camo and snuck around the far left side. I was able to jump over to the other landing and sneak past all the mobs except for the 2 patrolling ones on the raptor mounts. When I reached them I used my rocket belt to blast forwards and Feigned Death up to the left where there were some huts and no mobs (this is outside of the the Bethekk temple.

From there I mounted up and jumped using a parachute cloak to land on the wall surrounding the temple. From there I mounted up again and jumped down onto the floor of the building, just beside poisonous plants. The patrol with the 2 cats doesn't come all the way back so you can sit there safely. The troll can be ice trapped, so it's just a matter of surviving the tame with the 2 cats attacking you. I have no idea if that's possible, but that's as far as I got before I was kicked. It might be possible with some haste and stamina and luck?

I couldn't manage it solo...couldn't get quite enough haste or health to survive all 3 mobs. I managed a successful tame when my GM brought his Survival hunter to Wyvern Sting the troll and pet tank the second cat. So I know it can be two-manned.

Don't know if it was a server first (probably not)...but it was likely one of the first.

I did it a few hours ago, it took me quite a few attempts though.

I went left over the rocks and feigned to drop fish aggro.

Hugged the wall to the left while camo'd.

Went directly through the middle of the road past the snakes and group of trolls on the opposite side.

Mounted up right outside where the tiki was and ran past it up the stairs and in the room then feigned again. Went downstairs to the first pat of a shadow hunter and two cats. Bring corehound for haste, a potion of speed, and haste food (90haste/stam). Now do your hero/blood lust and run in when they are heading back to the wall. Trap launch ice trap right in the path of the shadow hunter and target the right cat. The left cat does some weird pat around the back taking a lil more time to get to you. Pop potion of speed and tame. and pray the shadow hunter don't resist! xD

I tried to solo it.. not happening, go to the cats no problem, just camo straight through, agro the yellow mob and disengage to get on top of the wall ^.^ cats cant be CC'd... the troll can be trapped but those cats are brutal.. I got pwned quickly.. think it would be best to bring a friend unless you have alot of ptions etc and luck..

Well here is how it turned out for me:
Attempt 1: Got a little past the fish, camoed up and got aggroed by the patrols on the raptors, was dead before I hit feign

Attempt 2: Made it all the way to the snakes, got aggro even with camo up (got too close I guess? On PTR I literally walked straight through them with no problems), died almost immediately.

Attempt 3: Made it all the way to the cats. Trapped the troll and started the tame at maximum distance.. tame got to about 3% before finishing and I died.

Attempt 4: Fell off the cliff at the fish. Insta-death from a hydra. (go me!)

Attempt 5: Made it to the cats again, but somehow managed to aggro the tikki god, death ensued as I hit the wrong macro. (go me again! Yeah I rule! - NOT!)

Attempt 6: The solo queen calls for reinforcements. (I think I just lost my crown as the solo queen ;;) A hunter friend came and I told him what we needed to do. We made it to the cats.
He froze the troll then shot the left cat, I tamed the right one. He dies, I get the tame off, then died, but I got that sucker!
No food, no potions, and took about 25% damage before the tame ended.
Named him Aziel.
I'm a happy hunter now even if this proves beyond any reasonable doubt that I'm a noob at heart
Now I'm going to figure out what to release and go get me one of those nifty white saber-cats

Duo'd it. Camo worked for me, all the way to the temple. Trapped the troll, had a friend distract the other cat, and tamed my beauty.

Other person was a hunter. We both camo'd all the way to the nonaggro wasp near the temple gate and waited for camo CD, used it to sneak past tiki and waited for the pat to get in position.

Coulda done solo... but wanted the extra sacrificial lamb. :p

Easy tame. Just position yourself on the edge of the stairs to give the patrol a long way to run. You should be able to reach one from there. Drop a frost drop for good measure at the bottom of the stairs. Boom.

Hmm, anyone know if the cats are susceptible to Scare Beast? Perhaps you could trap the troll, scare one of the cats, and tame the other one quickly.

Easy tame. Just position yourself on the edge of the stairs to give the patrol a long way to run. You should be able to reach one from there. Drop a frost drop for good measure at the bottom of the stairs. Boom.

Well, when Scare Beast didn't work on the cats just now I tried standing on the stairs like this. Worked perfectly! I stood on the left 'rail' of the stairs, shot a freezing trap in the path of the troll when they started to approach, and then hit tame beast. The tame completed by the time both cats ended up circling around and up to where I was. Good thinking, thanks for the tip. ^^

It probably is an easy tame, I'm just full of noobsauce, plus I tend to get really nervous and start shaking when I am concentrating on something
