SO out of practice with GIMP. This was going to be a quick and simple reference for Cygnet here but nooo, had to slap a cheap BG on it and shade it. I'm still not really happy with his colors or mark, they seem way too simple.

And yeah, I think I may go back to his namesake(a cygnet is a baby swan, after all) and try a white/gray/orange/black color scheme this time. Dunno yet.



Boyfriend's pony OC, who I have been informed is named - quite appropriately - Blaze. He was heckling me for art, this should get him off of my back for the time being. ;P Even though Blaze has already graced my art programs once already.

In all seriousness, just tell me what he'd look like as a Pony - just like you were requesting a doodle of yourself. Fur color, mane color, haircut, eye color, something you think represents him(or nothing, if you/he can't think of a 'special talent'), does he need wings or a horn or both, etc. I'll whip something up as best I can, but it'll probably be on MS Paint since stuff on GIMP is super time consuming.

Poor Faron's lightning has all gone out apparently. I couldn't get the hang of painting it, unfortunately, so he'll have to do without for now. I'll get an uncolored version up soon because, frankly, it looks much nicer without. Sorry Lupis! D: <3

I don't usually draw wolves so this is a first(third or forth really) for me. Hope I didn't botch it up too bad. ;P

I don't know if you only did the drawing half or the coloring half but I LOVE BOTH OF THEM on this!! Amazing!

No, Nubhorns did the whole image. The way an art trade works is that two artists each do a piece on a subject that has some sort of personal meaning to the other. In this case, LupisDarkmoon gets a drawing of Faron (tamed Skoll), one of her favorite hunter pets, and Nubhorns gets something else in return.

In this case Lupis did an avatar of my main for me - I'm not using it anymore unfortunately, but I'm pretty sure it's on her deviantart. :P

Crazy art terminology 101!: Two or more artists working on a picture together is a collaboration. :D An art trade is when you draw something for someone and get art in return. A commission is when you draw something for someone and get payment(usually monetary) in return. A request or 'fanart' as it's commonly called(although the term isn't really correct) is when you draw something for someone and get nothing in return.



Trying to drag myself out of a downer mood. As happy as I am over having a boyfriend at all, he lives all the way in New York. And me...I'm on the other side of the country. The soonest I'll be able to visit him might be in September if money works out right, but even then it's only for a few days. Maybe not even that.

Ideally I'd love to just fly over and spend a few days up there, maybe a week, but the closest relatives I have are in Pennsylvania and it'd be absurd to ask to stay with his family out of nowhere.

At least our ponies can cuddle.

This started as a cute little 'thing' when I went "I wonder how K wraps her tail?", but I realized the unfortunate implications only after I finished coloring it. Some witty commentary from the boyfriend and we ended up with this:

It's a children's show, and ponies just seem far too innocent for that sort of thing. It was just a playful joke(and would still be in sketch format, but someone wanted to see it finished *cough*), and you shouldn't expect anything like this from me ever again.

If you're able to draw me a poneh, I would love love LOVE a rainbow unicorn pony! Not like Rainbow Dash who has a rainbow mane but like... ALL rainbow... I just love rainbows so much.
