That went so well! We saw someone advertising a PuG raid for 10-man Ulduar last night, along with doing all the achievements for the Rusted Proto-Drake. Neither of us thought it would go well, being a PuG and all, so we laughed and went for a bit of fun considering how bored we were. It turned out that more than half the raid were from the same guild and that they were using vent to chat. Me and my boyfriend aren't a fan of listening to people who we don't even know talk, so we went against using vent and they were fine with that.
We proceeded to do every single boss with ease, and look what we came out with!
Indeed, two gorgeous Rusted Proto-Drakes! Both of us had only done one of the meta-based achievements before considering we're not really raiders, and all achievements were done with ease.
This is my boyfriend's new favourite mount that he'll be using all the time now - I'm really glad I asked him to come along to the raid (I actually saw it advertised as I was standing around in Orgrimmar, he was questing in Hyjal.) because I know he loves the Proto-Drake mounts, and he's really pleased with his new one.
I, however, cannot make my mind up. I might have to make a macro for both this, my Vitreous Stone Drake whom I love to death and my Violet Proto-Drake who I got yesterday as well! And my Violet Proto-Drake was also my 100th mount! So I also got the Red Dragonhawk mount, though I'm not a fan of the Dragonhawks so I won't be using that one.
What a great day for mounts yesterday was!
And we did Algalon too, and I got myself a shiny new title! Starcaller Kuraine... I like it. ♥
Ex-WoW player since 24-09-11. It's time to move on now. GW2, here I come.

We have given it a try. I don't see the point really when we don't raid much. Plus, we'd rather be speaking to each other than a group of people we don't even know and trying to speak to each other over these people's voices. So... No thanks.
And I made some nice friends without it as well.
