Still have your original toon???

All this talk about original toons, made me want to play my first character again. She has been gathering dust on the nessingwary server. So I started playing her again and found she still had only 5 pets. Time to go on the hunt again.

I cant say how many times I've deleted my favorite character, my first character though was my undead mage who is level 80 and sits on my mains server a bit neglected, I'll log her on do a few quests, then it never fails someone in my alliance guild thats on my real id says "hey come run this with us."

Funniest deletion/ restorations story. The very first time I deleted my hunter Amuneta, my boyfriend and I had a fight, I was tired of things and I thought I'd quit wow because I blamed the game, the guild, and the state of things at the time for our trouble, so I deleted my hunter. He was in the room and realized what was happening when I started laughing saying "I'm free of her now". So after another argument I put in a gm ticket I told the gm I pled temp insanity. They restored her no problem, when the gm asked if they could help with anything else to further the insanity case I told them "Well...the tv is asking for a burger the dresser wants the fries, and I just want an ice cream." The gms reaction "Talking furniture...interesting." Now I will say this restoration was done within 2 hours yours might be more difficult because of how long ago the deletion was. My longest character deleted I think was gone for 8 months give or take a month, but it never hurts to try.

My original toon was created on my husband's account (as well as two other toons). When I got my own account I mailed stuff from my old priest to my main (mage), deleted the priest, recreated the priest on the new account, and THEN proceeded to mail everything I could from the old account to the new one. Then I deleted the rest of the old toons and recreated most of them on the new account (at the time I made the original hunter my husband's account didn't have BC so I had made a NE hunter when I really wanted a Draenei hunter).

My mage was an exact recreation of my original mage, right down to the name "Rellamea". Since then ol' Rell's been to the barbershop a few times. *wink*

Of the five toons I created that first day, I still have four of them. The fifth was deleted in a fit of rage when I was being hounded on for alt hopping on so many useless toons. However I later recreated the fifth toon and even got the same name. Shame my rogue wasn't so lucky. The server won't let me have "Rooke" again. It keeps telling me the name is unavailable but searching the armory shows me that no one on the server has that name. And while I know that a deleted name becomes unavailable for something like two months before it becomes available once again (unless you reuse the name within minutes of deleting it)... it's been over FIVE YEARS since the name became unavailable. I've managed to get the name on OTHER servers, SURELY the name should be available on my home server by NOW!

Eziwolf is my main character since I play. Ok, the first created was a tauren shaman, but only to try on the demo version.

@ MeAjur- The armory only shows the toons at/above level 10, so someone might have your name on a level 1 bank toon or something. You can try petitioning a GM to see if they can free up the name, but they'll only do it under certain conditions (i.e. the character isn't played much or the account it's on is expired). Note that my knowledge is all second-hand, I've known a few people that have gotten names they wanted this way but haven't tried it myself. /endramble

My first toon is my tauren druid Taurros. He was my main and raider all through vanilla and BC, although in Wrath I switched to my troll hunter. Taurros is still around, even if he's no longer my main, and is sitting at 80 waiting patiently for his turn at Cata-levelling. He still looks the same too, although his catform went from the scruffy-looking yellow lion to a sleek black model. I seriously doubt I will ever delete him.
