New to rp needs alil help

I'm thinking of transferring my hunter to a rp realm but, I want to keep a few things in my character. First, my professions skin and mine. 2'nd, my favorite pet king krush. lastly, my mounts my black war raptor or my venomhide and my green proto drake. I'm thinking my back ground I fall in love with a druid of the cenarion circle and while , im trying to get up the nerve to tell her i travel to un' goro and scholozar. While, there i my spirit connects with these beast with scars to prove it.(ooc lol)If some one could help me improve this story id greatly appreciate it.

looks a red spotted tauren with a burn scar on my left arm from taming the proto drake various small to medium scars cover my body from taming my land mount(your choice who i use but if you can fit my black war raptor id appreciate it and a large almost lethal cut from king krush.

Also is the blue proto drake to taboo for rp.

Sounds like a good basis. My suggestions - Don't make it King Krush that he tamed. It can be one of Krush's sons or daughters, but King Krush is a massive, legendary beast that would be odd to see tamed and tiny by someone's side.
As for the blue proto drake, it's fine as long as it isn't The Mount of Skadi. Skadi is a lore character, even if a minor one, and it's frowned upon to have something that a lore character once had.

I recommend reading the number of sticky guides that are here in the RP forums.

I would also recommend the WoWpedia pages. You don't need to take them word for word, but they've been great assets to me as I learn to RP.

Thank you for all the help so far son of krush does sound better. Also i will go to lw after i switch over. But when i read these rp players stories there long and very creative thats what im wanting help with is expanding the story with in what i got.

Yeah. Definitely a good idea to read the stickies.

Also: Don't be afraid to keep it simple! There's no need to go -too- horribly fancy, because that's what RP does. It helps you develop your characters quirks. I walked into several of these RP threads here with characters that just had a name (Kozri and Solara are two examples), and now they were shaped by other people's actions with them.

While it's different, it could be a good idea to try and join one of the current ones after reading a bit of the story (Oh say, last twenty pages for a feel of the plot and characters) and and reading the stickies and hashing out your character. Make one in the FotTC sign-in and we can help you there too.

And yeah, don't be afraid to ask questions or for help. *grins.*

If you're in the US: Wyrmrest Accord has quite a bit of random RP going on all over the place and if you know where to look for it. I know Azu's on Cenarion Circle.

If you're EU Earthen Ring is the place to go, there's a few Petopians there, and while the random RP might not be as abundant there are a few good RP-guilds.

Definitely suggest Wyrmrest for RP, unless you're looking for more guild oriented RP than random. Cenarion is rather guild-exclusive when it comes to RP, while Wyrmrest is more random-RP friendly. Or at least that's what I've heard.

WRA has both I think. I know my guildless toons get lots of tells from people recruiting from different RP guilds.

I'm new to RP myself and I can tell you that all the sticky help threads on this forum were extremely valuable to me I think I read every single one of them at least twice before I jumped into the FotTC thread. And if you need help, just ask anyone and they will help you. Of course all that has been said, but I'm like a parrot
