Fury of the Twilight Clan: A Very Rough Summary
((Let me know if I've missed anything here))

If you haven't already, check out the Sign-In thread for a basic idea of the plot, especially the “The Plot (That characters will reasonably know)” section. The core group has not been very forthcoming in sharing the information they've come to know, especially since they've only just discovered it. Also contains summaries of characters that are involved.

The core of the events started off in Elwynn Forest. Stormwind, along with a number of other cities, had all but closed off their gates because of increased Twilight's Hammer Cultist activities. The group as it is now assembled in Goldshire, deciding to form up and to try and investigate these attacks, along with the rumours that they seem to be using a new weapon; elementally infused beasts. No sooner than they decided this than the town was attacked by the cultists. Several characters were kidnapped.
Those who had avoided capture organised a counter strike to get them back. It half succeeded, they managed to reclaim a number of their friends and escape to Moonglade, but they had to leave behind Azunara, Kozridormu and Decay's runeblade. After a quick breather, they returned to try and rescue those left behind. Although they beat the cultist's back this time, Azunara had been corrupted and many of them had been severely injured.

The cultists retreated to another base, where they were attacked by Talon. Azunara nearly died, but was saved when she was infused with elemental energy. They were soon joined by one of their leaders, Batlek, who has revealed the plan behind the elemental beasts; they are merely a stepping stone, their bodies used to distil raw elemental energy before infusing it to a cultist, turning them into an ascendant.
Deciding there was little they could do for the moment, The group, lead primarily by a grieving Kozri, decided to leave for Ironforge to deliver a missive from Stormwind, which he and Azu had been tasked to do before they all met up. A few members of the group, Zaruuk, Indigosa and Decay, split off and headed back to try and rescue Azunara one more time. The attack did not go well, as the three of them were swamped by cultists, including the captured Azunara. They were forced to defend themselves, which resulted with the death of Azunara.
Kozri and the core of the group had doubled back just in time to see Azunara die. Noticing that many of her wounds must have been inflicted by the three who had split off, Kozri blamed them and left them to escape by their own means. A very injured Zaruuk and Indi teleported over to Exodar, Decay was captured and enslaved by the cultists. Kozri and the rest moved back onwards towards Ironforge.

The cultists, now joined by their leaders, moved to their Dun Morogh base. There, Batlek infused Decay with distilled elemental ice and bound her to a soul shard, controlling her to use her as a weapon against her peers. Using the same method, Sabra took control of one of the other cultists, Rose.
Kozri and the others entered Dun Morogh and located the cultists by luck. Despite still harbouring an intense hatred for Decay's actions, Kozri could not ignore that she was being controlled against her will, and organised an attack to at least free her from their grasp. The attack went well and they managed not only to rescue Decay, but also to free Rose. Rose and Faron then accompanied the group to Kharanos, where they decided to take a rest. Zaruuk and Indi also joined up with them again, having teleported to Ironforge to mend ties with the group after recovering in Exodar.

While the group took some R&R in Kharanos, Kozri went to try and ressurect Azunara. Meeting up with Saturo, the two killed a random night elf and planned to resurrect Azu in her body. This didn't quite work out as planned, and Azu returned as a ghost instead. The two then returned to Kharanos, where ties were mended between the group.
They've only just started making plans to leave, having learned some information about a potential weakness in the infused cultists from Talon. They plan on heading to Darnassus to catch up with a holy priest, in an attempt to combat Batlek.

Err, yeah. I think that's it. Should probably do a character summary as well, to help keep track of the little subplots happening >.>

You know, I should probably update Karzix and Glixs' character reference in the sign-up thread... I've polished their back stories up a little bit and their behavior has gone through a few changes. Might be something to get onto doing now that we've got a new RPer.

he was mostly created to be a comic relief for the antagonist side, he normally has an unnamed penguin following him around from northrend and is usually seen wearing a tophat ((More info seen in sign in))

Beastmastery goblin hunter
she is normally your usual goblin, she cares deeply for razil, her adoptive troll sister. Her current pets are Sabatoth the colour changing spiny raptor and Tecni a ghostpaw howler from asenvale

Razil
Troll feral druid
She grew up in a goblin background, therefore is has more of a goblin personility than a troll one. She usually seen in a panther form full of gadgets. She cares deeply for Gazz'nil, she has a faerie dragon following her around known as gogglespank, he has goggles twice the side of his head he always wears

Aquela
Night elf balance druid
Hardly ever in her night elf form, she normally seen drunk but is fun and loving, she cares deeply for those who consider her a friend

Gezifer: an ember worg pup that considers Glix his owner

Decay - High Elf Death Knight
Had a crush on Kozri forthe longest time, but after he shunned her it turned into a deep seated dislike. Is close friends with Indigosa in a kind of sisterlike relationship. Also rather prejudiced against the worgen, as she commanded a battalion of Forsaken soldiers in the occupation of Gilneas.

Saturo - Gnome Warlock/Necromancer
Insane. She does what she wants, when she wants to. Switches sides randomly, does her best to be comic relief but usually just ends up being annoying.

Korwen - Human Rogue
Incompetent. Has been trying to kill Decay for about twelve years now, constantly failing. Comic relief.

Most of them are, yeah. Koz and Asilia are behind, as well as Talon and Lyra.

Riiight. Indi and Zaruuk went off to IF, and Faron and Rose are more or less avoiding the adventurers, since no one trusts them.

Not that it's hard to actually read the posts made in the thread, but the main group actually isn't in Darnassus. The portal was made to take them outside of the city because of the Hordies. They landed in the water and are currently on a floating ice pad made by Decay.
