So far no basilisks yet.

Unread post by Ceravan »

I so want to tame basilisks, especially the ones from outland, I love the red elite one in terrokar. So, I went to check them, and they aren't tameable.

They should make it an exotic tank, and have it's exotic ability to be Feign Death. As most basilisks do this, the ability would do two things really, disorient for a couple of seconds and generate a large amount of threat.

It's actually feasable if you think about it. Remember way back when, before we were high enough to oneshot them, you'd be killing one then all of a sudden it was dead, and you couldn't figure out why you couldn't loot/skin it. Well, that would be the disorient part, and then after it came back, you got pissed off/annoyed, that would be the threat part of it.

The Azerothian basilisks don't really appeal to me, but I've always had a soft spot for the purple Outland model. Those ones are strangely cute. ^^

I think the special of the family, if they get implemented, should be a straightforward stun. The Basilisk's gaze is its main feature in mythology, with a glance killing or paralyzing--and most WoW basilisks do this to some extent, too. I can definitely see it being Tenacity, too!

Those purple ones in Terokkar look quite amazing, as does the red.

I've no doubt they'll be tameable at some stage (and no, that's not from insider info ;) ). I actually prefer the old Azerothian ones. The white with jade crest is really beautiful. But there are a few awesome unused skins I'm hoping they'll put in at some stage, such as purple, orange-purple and burgundy-orange. That, and there's an unused purple crest that could be combined with any colour to good effect.

I have to agree with you on that one : )

I also have a bit of a soft spot for the red on too. I may also be the fact that they remind me of outland too, I still actually <3 that place ^^

It would look so good with the collection, they just look grand together imo ;)

Probably Blizzard would be tempted to classify them as crocolisks after taming. They are extremely similar in appearance.

Although, if they were their own exotic family, I wouldn't be surprised to see a stoneskin totem buff clone of sorts. Not sure how'd you exactly work it around so it'd make sense though.
