Well, Chili looks like the other Terrorpenes pictured above. But I do believe I've located the problem:

The attachment WoWScrnShot_052711_150857.jpg is no longer available
Shadow quality, liquid detail, and sunshafts are all forced to low/disabled with the error "requires a shader 2 model graphics card" showing up when I mouse over the options. So that's where the bug is, whatever it is.

^ i can confirm this as well. as I run on live with everything maxed i also have this problem showing up, just look how ugly it makes my mount

Oh please just let it be a graphics problem . I love my Terrorpene just how he is. I dont care if he becomes a common skin. Just leave him be D:

I would like that skin, if it wasn't for the mismatch between the head colors and the rest of the body. However, I really, really don't want my Terror to turn into that....

OUCH! Poor Al'ar looks like a cartoon with low graphics. :/

Hopefully it's just an issue with something getting flipped to the "off" position and it'll be resolved in the next build.

Stop panicking folks, a few people here have already pointed out what the issue is. My old comp was on lowest settings across the board (so no sun shafts, liquid details, or any of that shiny stuff) and terrorpene looked like that to me. (Other strange graphics issues included not being able to see guild logos on page banners and such.) On my new comp, where I can actually go up to high and ultra, he looks his flamey self.

Blizz just designed this awesome model and they are clearly in love with their fire effects, so I'm willing to bet he's not changing.

well we all know the ptr is known for messing up stuff like like that, mostly mounts but I can understand terrorpene since he has such a graphic feature and stuff, and they fiddle around with graphical stuff all the time.

interestingly enough he looks like that on the login screen to *shrugs*

But I did get a SS on live version to with the exact same settings I have on the ptr and this is what he came out to

But again ptr.. not until the fat lady sings is it final folks ^.^

This likely supports the bug theory then, since the only difference between the PTR settings and the live ones is the error involving the shader 2 graphics card.

This is what my Terrorpene looks like on the 4.2 PTR with everything set to ultra, Well minus some reduced quality due to photobucket resize.

Hi Finally got him, Terrorpene that is. Nagrand server time was 9:30 am in the usual spot.
Don't quite know what to call him yet, but im sure something will come to mind.

The buggy one looks so cool! Each of his spikes resemble tiny volcanoes! <3 I like it.. If Terrorpene actually looked like that for good I'd get one and name him Locomotive

Or Erupt haha..

we should put this in our notes for our "lurker". since Terrorpene's skin is getting used in firelands, maybe the old Terrorpene turns to look like this?
