The Lone Hunter -- Still tamable with special effects?
Hi guys. I'm new to the forums, but I've been following certain threads recently.
Onto topic.
Many people seem to state that The Lone Hunter is still tamable as of Patch 4.1.
I've been using the Abandon Pet Trick (in that I tame one, normally, and than the second one I try to abandon).
Unfortunately, it hasn't seemed to work recently for some pets. I've tried it on the Lone Hunter (the topic of this thread), and the Silt Crawler.
Any suggestions? Getting a friend to help death-tame is extremely time-consuming.
EDIT: It has worked for me, namely, the Oil-covered Wolf.

No offense, the same topics keep popping up when using the search feature would probably yield the answers you're looking for.
Yes, he is still tamable with the sword in his head, I just did it a month or two ago using this method: http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... ndon+macro

That's exactly what I'm doing, to no avail. It seems sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.TygerDarkstorm wrote:Yes, he is still tamable with the sword in his head, I just did it a month or two ago using this method: http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... ndon+macro
Pity.

Thing is though, there's been several of the same threads popping up recently all asking the same question if the buffed pets are still tamable with the same answers being given.

My apologies, then.TygerDarkstorm wrote:Thing is though, there's been several of the same threads popping up recently all asking the same question if the buffed pets are still tamable with the same answers being given.

It seems that persistence is the key.
EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand another apology should be given for my utter stupidity.
The trick only works if you literally only have TWO PET SLOTS OPEN!

Yeah, the updated method I linked requires two pet slots. Took me a few tries but I eventually got it to work.

No, you weren't. And I apologize if I came off ruder than I intended.

Ditto. xDTygerDarkstorm wrote:No, you weren't. And I apologize if I came off ruder than I intended.
As this thread is now a moot point, I took all the info I've garnered and posted in that other thread (don't worry, it's not already posted facts... hopefully).
