I actually think Blizz wanted to give Horde something like a gnome and alliance are all human looking expect for worgon and Draenei, so I think its a case of giving alliance more variety

The worgen are actually the "cooler" race coming with Cataclysm.

When I first saw them on alliance side, I thought "Crap! Those are horde, man, no way!"
Then I thought about how many kiddies will go nuts about the worgen and play one.
Then I thought about how many kiddies were attracted by the blood elves and what happened to horde community after BC lured a lot of alliance players to the horde.

Thank you, Blizzard, for making worgen alliance.
I will play my goblin and pray for you designers out there every night.

Haha, yeah I agree with you there Kara. I know it's probably hypocritical of us to be saying so as we both play Blood Elves, but I didn't flock to them for the 'OMG DEY SO PURTY' ... I always thought of them as dark, gothic elves (hence why I gave Veph pale skin, black hair, and the dark makeup). I've never envisioned them as the ditzy blonde types that so many seem to associate them by.

I think Goblins are going to be bad ass, and I almost feel sorry for the Alliance who are going to have to put up with xjacobblackx Worgen running around everywhere. xD

I've already stated before somewhere... no idea where... that I will break a Twilight dvd everytime i see a Jacob Black reference in a Worgen name... However, it seems a bit hypocritical that i have no problem with Sirius or Remus references, although Harry Potter is like a bajillion times better than Twilight... xD

/duck, I like Twilight just saying...and werewolves are my favorite monster ever - I cannot WAIT for worgen, I think they are super awesome. Yet no offense to horde out there but I seem to see a lot of "GAWSH WEREWULFZ IZ SOO KOOL, GOTTA BE HORDE CUZ ALLI SUCKS K THNX BAI" I for some reason find this rude and immature lol...it is what it is Blizzard gave their reason for doing it and I for one cannot wait to be a worgen

This. I'm sick of people complaining that OMG ALLI SUX WHY ARE THEY GETTING BADASS RACE THEY SHOULD BE HORD OMG NOT FAIR... It's high time the Alliance got a beastly race, and why on Azeroth would former/semi-humans join the Horde? Plus, goblins are awesome, and they'll be giving the Horde a wicked gnome counterpart with the tinkering and size.

Also, draenei > blood elves. So much. ;)

Mm, I don't think Worgen should be Horde, I'm happy with Goblins. I agree that Alliance needed something out of the normal humanoids, excluding Draenei that is.

Well and lore-wise, they make more sense putting the goblins with Horde, and Worgen with alliance... Although as much as I'll love both, I don't think either make very good new races lore-wise, because the leader of Gilneas swore he'd never work on one side or the other again, and the Goblins agreed they would stay neutral in the struggle between these Factions... but meh, I'm a lore guru/specification geek... xD

Actually the 'werewolves' in Twilight aren't Werewolves but mutilated lore/myths/tales about Skinwalkers. Not werewolves.

And none taken.

There's countless allies that get on their horde toons to screech at me when I destroyed their XR or Splintertree raiding, or when horde actually down the ally leaders. Which ironically are usually always a belf pally.

Though now you're going to get all the fail belf alliance right back to where they started, so in the end I'm now a bit more accepting horde gets Goblins.

Yup, im glad someone else saw that. They turn into Wolves, not werewolves wich stand on two legs and have human qualities, they are also native american wich is were this legend came from....
