Noah/Wain: Drakeadon Mongrel request (tameable please!)

Howdy,

Since Chromaggus is bugged with the combat bug, how about making the Drakeadon Mongrels tameable?

I noticed after the last patch that they were marked as beasts, which was a change. So, how about going the rest of the way and making them tameable? It would be nice to have another source for this skin.

What bug is that? I helped a friend tame it just a week back.

See my thread in the pet discussion forum. Basically, there's something the pet sometime does on trash that will keep you in combat. Once it happens, you are stuck. Die? still in combat. Wipe? still in combat and can't get back in, so you are locked out of the instance. Not sure if it's on newly tamed Chromies, or any. Some folk have it happen not at all, others like me, have it happen every time they go in an instance with Chromie. I've seen it mentioned on Wowhead and a few other places now that I've looked for it.

So, it would be nice to get the Drakeadon Mongrels tameable..

Ive had same experiences in other raids-- im never in BWL to help but i do agree that i wouldnt mind seeing one more alternative for the drakeadon skin, its quite difficult to find a group thats willing to do BWL nowadays, it took me a week to find some ppl to kill Razorgore and then we wiped and it took me a month to get enough ppl who knew the razorgore fight (which turned out to be my guild since trade chat never bothered with me by this point) and well, since then i have yet to see BWL again to get some old Tier gear cause i keep finding duds who dont know razorgores fight and my ally guilds guildies dont want anything to do with BWL unless we can bring 10 ppl for the guild acheiv. They refuse to run raids if they dont get guild exp and rep -_-

The Mongrels either put the whole instance in combat (similar to bosses) or have an exceptionally long range on their abilities, though—Naha and I are almost always sitting around twiddling our thumbs at the corpse of the last boss doing loot (unless it's Chimaeron in which case all the loot rots because we never ever get anything new) and nine times out of ten, we get put in combat every time a trash pack is pulled (I got targetted by the hammer-dwarf's Execution thing while doing loot at Magmaw's corpse, once). I know it's not the same as the boss pulse, but wouldn't it be just as likely to suffer from the bug?

Slightly off topic, but here's the easiest way to do Razorgore that I've seen.

Find a healer (shammy or pally is good since they're durable), maybe you can offer money to someone in trade channel? - and have them stand in the middle of Razorgore's room. Dismiss your pet (messes with the MC) and kill the three guys on the left platform. Then MC Razorgore and destroy eggs. Meanwhile the healer just stands there and spams heals on themselves, drawing aggro from all the adds. Once eggs are gone summon your pet and it's just a tank and spank.

You do realize it does that with other pets too, right? I've had a spirit beast out and it's put me in combat.

I'll take note of that for sure, though im still hoping that there'll be another alternative by the time i get around to playing my newest favorite hunter, im really caught up with my druid lol

Oh. I thought you meant a combat-related bug when trying to tame him. Sorry. They're all the same model so it's quite possible they'd all have the same problem anyway.

:O that long? it took me with 2 hunters, 1 MM who was controlling the orb and 1 BM (me) who was killing the adds.

Wyrmrest Accord, they dont seem quite like the raiding type and i was never really in a city for more then 10-20min and my chat got eaten up by trollers talking about something retarded so i prolly wasnt heard much by the few who would of prolly helped me if they actually saw my request

I love the model and its extremely rare so to see chromaggus, and the other drakadons are in a landscape thats heavily filled with red mist (blackwing descent is the only other place with the model to my knowledge) that ruin his amazing coloring so im happy at the very least that they'll be popping up in firelands and even more happy if they're tameable so that i dont need to fuss around with a raid
