Green Demon Hound - [EDIT: Name found]

I've found myself unexpectedly attached to one of the green plaguehounds. I originally just tamed him sporadically so I could take a closer look at them, but then he kind of stuck.

I'm having no luck finding a name, however, so I'm hoping you all can help me brainstorm. I'm not precisely sure what I'm looking for...probably something either demonic or toxic/plague sounding...I have the 'mood' of the name in my mind, but I can't find one that clicks.

Anyways, thanks for any ideas!

Carmeles, perhaps? It comes from the Latin words Carmina Fideles, which mean Loyal Demon. Or maybe some other sort of combo of them.

I'm going to recommend the name Xenon. Xenon is a type of nuclear chemical used in laser and neon fixtures. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon

I saw the glowing green skin and immediately thought of radioactivity and nuclear fallout.

This is turning out to be one of the most difficult pets I've ever had to name.

I look at him and a flood of perfect descriptive words comes to my mind (putrid, toxic, blight, plague, noxious, mutagen, etc), but none of them are quite name quality on their own.

Thesaurus.com came to the rescue as I waded through all sorts of delightfully gruesome words. Mortiferous caught my eye in one listing. I shortened it to Mortifer, and suddenly it just clicked.

Thanks again everyone for steering me in the right direction, the ideas you all listed helped me get a grasp on the sort of name I was looking for. ^_^
