Appearance Buff Pets Nerfed?

As the title says... Did they nerf the /script PetAbandon() to tame buffed pets? Maybe in a server restart?

Only 2 weeks ago I still managed to tame Lone Hunter with his sword using this macro, got him right away... Today I've been trying to tame the burning battleboar from the Tauren starter area, and after 2 hours we (me and my friend who rolled a Tauren for me) gave up... I decided to try Lone Hunter again with his sword just to see if it actually still works, but after failing for 30 minutes I'm thinking they may have nerfed this? Anyone out there who could confirm this, or, which would be better, proof me I'm just bad at taming?

I saw a thread on general about the spider with the dmg buff so maybe blizz hotfixed buff pets

No, there wasn't a nerf. I managed to tame the flaming boar just fine.

I highly doubt that it was nerfed. I just tamed the ghost wolf last week on my alt hunter. However, some people do seem to have problems with the macro. There are threads here in the forums that you can search up for more information on different approaches.

I've tried everything on my sever to get it to work, and I mean I TRIED EVERYTHING! I remember I got a oil wolf not long ago but the next morning I couldn't get it to work. Maybe I just suck or not trying hard enough.

If they did nerf it then good, I hated those hunters who abused the pet with true damage buffs.

It's just you, i cant manage to tame an oil staned wolf either and 5 mins later some dude posts he tamed one :\

As of 6/12/2011, does the macro-spamming method still work? I've been trying for days now and it doesn't seem to, though I just tamed the fire boar with a different method.
