Question about Gezzerak Edit: Tamed now.

She is immume to it, but perhaps you can use some haste gear to speed up the channeling? Might need a few tries.. but always worth trying it.

Im trying to figure out how my hunter-- when she gets to 72 (shes almost 65 atm) can tame gezzy before she gets eaten, cause of her lvl she is pretty limited to how speedy she can make her tame cast

Tamed Gezzerak as a crappily geared, unheirloomed 72! Took two attempts. I used a corehound's bloodlust, stood at max range and fired away! Think you may need to keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best during the tame.

I think it's possible to polymorph her, not too sure.

I have seen a comment on WoWhead where a hunter claims he has tamed her on level 72.. try to get all haste you can get (food, elixers, etc) and give it a shot.

If you fail, try to another method, perhaps she can pulled somewhere were you can't be knocked back? (a wall, sorry if she can't, not really up-to-date with her)

also remember... You do NOT need to be on the quest to summon her. I know many hunters that wasted a ton of time doing the chain when she became re-tamable, but all you need are the scrolls.

Adding some information to Gimlion's post.

She IS tameable again.
You CAN summon her again even if you have completed the quest.

To summon:
1. Collect 6 Shadow Dust from arakkoa in Skettis
2. Take dusts to Severin in Blackwind Landing (Skyguard camp north of Skettis), trade for Shadow Elixir
3. Drink elixir, go back to Skettis, kill "Time-Lost" arakkoa to collect 10 Time-lost Scrolls
4. Go to any skull pile on blue/purple runic circles in Skettis, right-click, select "Summon Gezzarak"
5. Tame that beastie!

Reminders: She is immune to Freezing Trap.
She does a warp to move behind you which will NOT interrupt your tame.
She does an annoying knockback that WILL interrupt your tame. It is possible to tame her with no haste buffs with a couple tries and some luck, but haste pots, enchants, Lust/Hero/Warp won't hurt.

didnt know you dont need the pre-quests but i did know you can resummon her over and over thank you all three of you guys

Edit: wait-- no i got that messed up a bit, i know to do the summoning you dont need a quest cause once you've done it once there is no quest but you need to do the quests to get the shadow elixer stuff so you can see the ghosts that drop the texts (i dont wanna buy em of the AH....)

You don't even need to do the full chain! Just get to the part when you need to kill the ghostly mobs, collect 10 scrolls (or 20 to be safe), pop to a pile of skulls and ta-da!

Managed with ancient hysteria alone (on a lowbie with 9k health, eeep!) but I'd imagine haste pots would help. It's better to be safe than sorry!

It took me some time to tame Gezz and she was kicking my ass and I was level 85. Why you may ask. Simply because she punted me across the area, through buildings and trees. No matter where I was she just kept knocking me around and there was nothing I could do. lol I have a SS of her literally knocking me through a tree then biting my face. So have haste pots, elixirs cast and pray. You may also be able to drop a snake trap that may help (it really does work) "distract" her from you while you tame.

sounds like both you and Xakaal had a hell of a time (I tried taming at 75 tho, i ended up hiring a friend and then i did it for my guild master and she got it on the first try-- at 80)

Mmmmmm almost lvl 66 now.... im also very happy theres an AH in shatt now so i dont gotta pop to the portal and go to SW to buy some pots. None of my characters have a hearthstone anywhere near a city.... i accidently set my 85's from dwarven district to light's hope chapel when i was exploring and wanted to check the innkeepers stuff cause im weird like that and like to browse xD

I have her on my hunter, I got her in the mid 70's I think and I had very little issue taming her. Was half dead but managed to get it done. I just don't remember having the issues, biggest issue was getting the stupid scrolls to drop. What you might want to try is maybe scarebeast even, have a pally there after you get aggro use it's hammer of justice. It's some thoughts though if your having trouble.

When I got her at 70 something I used a rogue and pally to help me tame her. Works every time.

Just tried to get Gezzy, i laid down a Ice Trap (did nothing btw, she never slowed down one bit) and used a core hound, haste pot, and had a lightning speed elixer on (i didnt want to have to repeat the process) and i disengaged when she attacked me, then she knocked me back and I was like



I thought i was gonna die so i feigned death cause my tame beast stopped mid-way so i feigned and then i was like



I noticed that she was considerably smaller, there was a blue not red circle, and she hadnt reset herself, she was attacking a kaliri that aggroed in my ice trap

I used a trap that slows mobs, not freezes them and she didnt do her warp, she knocked me back and then my tame stopped so i thought i was gonna die so i feigned death, she was actually attacking a kaliri in that moment because she was tamed which is why i thought i was still dying, she didnt stand by my side as pets normally do

Ive tamed her twice, helped a friend tame her, and killed her on my main hunter a few dozen times while grinding the reputation
