That two weeks ago and I've been farming it every day since, so maybe 45 times through now. /sigh.
Wha'? D: That's such bs. You would think Blizz would have that covered by, y'know, WEAPONRY RESTRICTIONS.
Maybe a few months after the Orb change the wep change will happen
Anyways.
Fail tank leaves a BRD run after getting himself stuck and not listening to me saying calmly, twice, Just teleport out and then back in.
So then I amaze someone who I guess hasn't been playing for a while and I guess he didn't notice I was chicken for half the instance, as he went you signed up as dps? so I went to kin specc, switching from my temp tree form as the healer had left a bit ago.
So we're waiting for the group. Priest goes, I got someone who can heal.
What follows is more me holding a grudge and acting upon it with a douchebag than it is a crappy group in general.
But it did end up with me personally injuring my poor nostrils as a result, so, I think it belongs here...
I'm just too bloody nice. I swear to god that's my biggest fault. I tolerate asshole-ish behaviour to a certain point before I snap forthwith.
...And then it gets ugly....like it did today...
I was running random level 60 - 63 groups (not using LFG, just randomly inviting lowbies) through Ramparts to get people Thrallmar rep for their easy, less pocket-burning epic fliers. There's this twink paladin who hangs around Hellfire Peninsula trying to get into Ramparts, only trouble is, he's a douche, plain and simple. He, at level 60, will run into the instance, aggro everything and then spew abuse at the group for not healing him/getting him out of strife. He's been pretty much thrown facefirst out of every LFG run he's been on, and still doesn't understand why people won't be nice and let him roll need on every blue despite the fact the rest of the party needs the upgrades too.
By this point, I've been running about 14 odd Rampart groups, getting my own rep up too. On the fifteenth group, someone accidentally invites this douchebag. Now I know of him, I know of his reputation as a farkin' cockerel, but part of me goes, he seriously cannot be that bad. My conscience's douchedar is jammed. That's my only explanation for seriously thinking this griefer is not that bad >_>;
I get a message from one of the two druids I'm running through saying he's demanding to take the staff upgrade that drops from ol' Dragonguts. I point out in party that if the paladin so much as needs, he'll be running ramparts solo. He didn't take my threat seriously. Haha >_>;
Now, said group consister of myself and Drachenstein, two feral druids, a shadow priest and this douchebag pally.
Not even the first pull, the pally runs past my pet, pulls the rest of the instance and then screams for healing. At this point I whisper the priest "Don't even bother with him", and he dies. And he spews abuse. We carry on merrily, not even ressing him. He finally gets there at the first boss, still screaming bullshit at us in party. By now, they've all got him on ignore, except me, I'm making notes on his jolly little tirade of abuse.
First boss drops his chestpiece. I think we were all by this point thinking "Thank the gods, now shut him up!"
Nope. Instead he runs off a list of loot he wants...nay demands to have priority on, and several of those items happen to be things he can't honestly use and has no use for. I say in party, knowing full well he's reading, "Hey guys, quick question...if he rolls need should I MD the boss to his sorry nutsack?" There's a chorus of yes's and the abuse starts up again. By now I'm thoroughly ticked off at this swearing little shit.
Dragon Boss, and he's still swearing and typing away, he doesn't notice my pet has gone on passive and the boss is beating on his dumb ass because he got an MD timer on his toon. Anchors aweigh, my boy...
With him dead and running back, still swearing his head off, I let the boss beat on me and Drach until he returns. True to his douche nature, he hasn't even healed/gotten mana back and is demanding to be healed (ret pally anyone?). Another MD goes up on him and the boss quickly dispatches him. More copious swearing, and a gaggle of LOL's in party from the others. I think, surely he won't try anything again; after all, Misdirection is a dangerous little tool in the hands of a ticked off hunter...but no, back he comes again, still not healing, still spewing crap at me for letting him die. The boss is almost dead, but hey, if he's still gonna be an ass to everyone, up goes another MD and he's down again.
As he's running back, I reset the boss and start the fight. He's locked out of the instance (woohoo!). The staff drops, both druids roll, and to the victor goes the spoils. By this point, even I've got him on ignore. I whisper the others to hang back and don't attack, just stand still as douchebag runs in to grab the final boss. Demon bloke takes one look at him and tears his face off, then resets. In he runs again, not even healing or what, and the two cloth adds beat his wittle face. We're still talking in party chat about the crazy weather we Aussies are getting, so we're still there according to the pally, but we're not lifting a finger to help him. He dies again.
Finally he gets the hint and leaves the party! We complete the instance, lots of rep, couple upgrades, we part ways...
...and then moments after taking the douchebag off ignore (I was flying over Nagrand by this point), I get a tell from him demanding I take him back through Ramparts until he gets ALL HIS UPGRADES...or else he's going to report me to the Blizzard GM's for..."false advertising"!
It's my own stupid fault for drinking Coke Zero at the time of his "threat". It really is XD
Seriously, I don't understand how people like that can play at all. x_x You'd think they should be doing their homework or something...
I wish that all jackasses could be dispatched as easily.
I had a crappy H UK group earlier that I bailed on rather than stick around. Was me tanking on my pally, my bf, and three guys from the same server. Somehow, the tree managed to pull ALL THE DRAKES IN THE STABLE ROOM AT ONCE. I can understand pulling one side when attempting to ninja past, but he got the other side AND the guy in the back too. Told my bf that if stuff like that kept happening, I was going to bail, as I was not in the mood to deal with it. Keleseth dropped without incident, but the others started pulling some of the trash packs before I got there, so that was it. *sigh* Sure, there's LOADS of worse things that could happen in a group, but after that monumentally bad pull with the drakes, I could just imagine how the rest of the instance would go. And I really didn't have the patience to babysit. -_-
The happy ending is that we ended up getting his rogue's daily done with a group of friends later on - and I brought Kalli with Theseus. Faces were eaten and good times were had.
Tank: I'm gonna raid SW later guys!!!! 50 lv 80's are gonna boooost me!!!
*Tank wanders off*
*Tank prattles on stupidly*
*Tank seems to think staring is the way you pull mobs*
Tank: AMIGAWD HEAL HEALER!
Me: *halfway in process of casting regrowth, already popped rejuv and have swiftmend at the ready*
Me getting aggro, running up and down stairs, spamming heals and swiftmend on myself so I won't die
Tank: AMIGAWD HEALER PASS ON THAT SWORD!!!! I NEEED IT!!!!
Me; STILL TRYING TO WAIT FOR RESCUE. NO ONE RESCUES ME. I'm halfway oom before the tank fucking pulls aggro off me.
I snap: WELL SORRY I WAS BUSY TRYING TO STAY ALIVE.
//BIG FREAKIN' SIGH @ general Hunter population on Saurfang (US) Horde side//
Blimey, I understand people are trying to help, but for the love of god, killing everything I try to tame is NOT ruddy flamin' funny >_>;
It was only a temporary group, but goshdarnit, this ticked me right off!
My newest Hunter, a Tauren (*waves Tauren flag*) by the name of Shadowfyris is level 11.
I have no general direction for Shadsie, so it was mainly me taking my "pokemon approach" to pets and getting one of each tree, two if you count the fact I stumbled upon Mazzranache when I was going for The Rake and impulsively tamed the pink one. Turned me straight off the Rake and instead onto a Springpaw Cub XD
Okay, so the Cub gets tamed, dropped into the stables, then I go for my favourite pet in Eversong Woods - a Feral Dragonhawk Hatchling.
I'm in the middle of taming, 3 seconds left, when this level 7 hunter shoots and kills it. My mood goes out with a fizzle.
/Facepalm'd and then went for another one. Again, 3 seconds off taming, same idiot shoots and kills it.
Lather, rinse, repeat for every Feral Hatchling in the area.
An hour later, and he shoots and kills the last one, I've about farkin' had it with him (I don't know where my patience comes from, don't ask, I haven't a clue...!). Just as I am about to start with the yelling, he then invites me to group and says happily, "All Hatchlings are dead! Woot!" I honestly didn't know what to think here. He was trying to help me, certainly, but I didn't want help. How to say it politely, I wondered, after he tailed me around for a freakin' HOUR killing every hatchling I attempted to befriend.
So I said it with some restraint:
"You do realise I'm a hunter too, right?"
"...er, Yeah?"
"At level 10, you get to tame beasts to be your companions. I'm level 11. Think closely before you reply to me."
"...um?"
"I was trying to tame those Hatchlings. Yes, every single hatchling you killed on me. For the last HOUR."
"...ok..."
"Now kindly leave me alone so I can tame one, go back to Mulgore and level it to be my friend. Thank you."
Left group, thoroughly annoyed. I know it's just a freakin' level 5 beast, but jeezus, I would not even do that to a lowbie Horde on my alliance huntress! I'm not an idiot nor am I a beeyatch to lowbies X(
So what the hell happened next?
Midway through the <beeeeeping> tame of the first Hatchling that pops up afterwards, bloody huntard killed it on me again...and subsequently every other Hatchling I attempted to tame. For the next half hour, he did the same. bloody. thing. as. before. D=!
I did eventually tame "Pyralis", but that was only after said huntard had a go at shooting a ?? Alliance Druid from Ballistic who was bored and looking for some lowbies to screw with. Needless to say, the Druid had a bit a fun having him attempt to melee him before slaughtering him.
I don't feel anyways bad that I did a /cheer at the druid.
Actualy had a sorta similar encounter with my Draenei mage.
So I finaly decided to move him out of exodar after beefing his tailoring and enchanting like crazy.
I arrive at Bloodmyst, because of what a goody-two-shoes I am I have quests to do still while being lvl 14. I go do the quest where you see about a expetition team to the Naga ruins in the northeast. Killing some trents along the way I bump into a lvl 40 balance druid.
Well I just proceeded to the nagas and this druid was following me....at first I thought he was just grinding for reputation aka. doing the starter quests.
But he killed a random bear for me....a trent...countless nagas. Well that was fine untill I had to actualy KILL the nagas to get a Data Crystal.
I asked him "What is it?", poor choice of words...but I though there would be reaction and I got my data crystal at the same time. Thus venturing back...with druid in toe. Then suddenly he stops and says to me "It's a Data Crystal". Major /facepalm, thank god the guy left after a hour.
Next would be a case of Multiboxing...I have nothing against it. Unless it's an evil Retri Paladin box in AV...or a Enc Shammy.
My mage hit 15, I wanted to try some dungeoning before retiring for the night. Quickly logging onto my priest I traded her Heirloom robe and shoulders for my mage.
Got into RFC after a while, I was like this one is easy. Well that is before I noticed that our tank AND healer were...boxed...Similar names and same quild and glitchy movements aka. this guys was a new to boxing. We wiped at the cultists.
That was my crappy groups rant for the day.
EDIT: Thank you Kalliope for clearing about the Moonkin form, so I edited that bit out.

They then tried to skip trash after Ick n Krick. Ofc it failed. Why wouldn't it work? Only I knew wtf the shammy wanted to do and he wasn't tanked on the ramp so yeah
I am starting to hate people thinking they can skip bosses and pats/mobs just because there's a smidgen of a chance or an exploit or some sort of reasoning on how to do it. I find it to dangerous and I end up footing a repair bill because of lack of comunication skills AND people obsessed with speed running.
Screw speed running, I hate the oh you get more emblems per hour!!! I'm sorry but as DPS no I don't, I get less because it takes just as much time to get into another dungeon crawl when I leave party, wether there's skipped bosses, full run or a fail run.
Sure as Caim I can pull it off, but that's because of a shortage of decent tanks.
Ryai wrote:They then tried to skip trash after Ick n Krick. Ofc it failed. Why wouldn't it work? Only I knew wtf the shammy wanted to do and he wasn't tanked on the ramp so yeah
You don't have to tank him on the ramp to skip those packs. As long as everyone mounts up at the bottom and rides past AT THE SAME TIME, then it works. Unfortunately, most pugs can't manage this, so we stopped bothering. xD

Agreed. I hate unnecessary corpse runs.
And speaking of which....
Hunters who want to tame in an instance: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell the group what you're doing first. Do NOT run ahead and body pull two massive packs of mobs while trying to tame yours. I was seconds away from kicking a hunter who pulled this sort of stunt tonight in Sethekk. He tamed successfully in the end, but that's because I'm a softie.
Kalliope wrote:Hunters who want to tame in an instance: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell the group what you're doing first.
Yup. I didn't notice the little hearts, and healer as I am, landed a massive HoT on him. He then tried to votekick me, for allegedly "attacking".
*rolls her eyes*
Generally, the hunters who run ahead and do stupid things are huntards as well. *sigh* This one didn't know the difference between a frost and freeze trap (nor was he using either until I told him to) and managed to break the latter multiple times with autoshot and/or serpent sting(?!). Don't ask. -_-

Well I can defend some moments; been accidently leaving Freki on Agressive after completing AN [as it saves me the trouble of having to worry about him attacking any mob at all really]. But I always apologize or explain or explain and apologize.
....
but then yeah these people seem like they don't care >_>
Ryai wrote:but then yeah these people seem like they don't care >_>
Yep.
This guy later ran ahead and started volleying packs ahead of me. I would have kicked him, but I figured that he had gotten his pet and was TRYING to get kicked, so I put up with it. Then after other wipes (not caused by him specifically; the healer stood too far from the last boss's pillars), he didn't run back. On the last run, he asked if we could finish the instance already. *f a c e p a l m*
You would not believe the two Huntards I got grouped with yesterday.
Both had their pets on aggressive, pulled mobs, demanded heals, and it just kept on coming. If you can't do it wrong, these guys somehow managed anyway. One of them had'nt named his pet, the other only spoke Finnish, somehow managed to pull ever murloc in the room IN ANOTHER CORRIDOR.
Guh. In the end, the tank and me decided to kill them so the rest of the group could proceed.
Here's a new one for me. Random dungeon'd into SM with my Shaman alt and the healer and tank are bitch'n at each other about the tank being a ninja in the last run. Healer say's she refuses to heal tank, but does offer to rez him when he got whomped. Tank, however, refuses the rez's and continues to run in over and over. Geez people, grow up!

Um I'm sorry but then I'm one of those people you hate then, I've left groups over Tanks not tanking, healers not healing, etc. I've left groups because of ninjas, after a run in RFK where a PRIEST TRIED TO STEAL AN UPGRADE FROM ME. A LEATHER Upgrade. I just decided to have none of it. I refuse to heal ninjas, I refuse to heal a group with them, and I refuse to party with them. It's my right to not waste my time just to see a blue drop- or worse a purple, and lose it to a ninja. Because you know that shiny new need n greed function? It doesn't always work and it doesn't seem to operate at anything lower than 80.
So I'm not going to waste my time, to see an upgrade drop and have a ninja steal it so yes, I will leave the ninjas dead or I will just say 'Sorry I refuse to group with ninjas' and just leave.
No I'm not saying the actions of those two are right as yes those are two childish actions on both sides.

You have a legit reason to do so, so you don't count. I'm talking about people that don't heal for reasons more trivial than what you're talking about, like someone refusing to heal simply because they didn't get a buff.
EDIT: Actually, it seems like I wasn't talking about more trivial reasons. I haven't seen someone in your place before, but I have seen more trivial reasons for someone to refuse healing.

Besides, reread the original post. The healer was the tank was a ninja IN THE LAST RUN. Instead of leaving, the healer stayed. That's sadistic, staying in a run with a known ninja.
