I've only been with 2 guys who did do oral and well I never climaxed from it I don't think they knew what to do. I guess I'm just sick of makeing my own happy endings I want someone else to do it! :/

Well, if he doesn't care about your pleasure at all, time to switch partners. If he's just squeamish about cunnilingus, you could give him a bullet or fingertip vibrator for play time. Re: Female Reproductive Health [explicit]
If all goes well I'll be visiting my boyfriend in a few months, and we know how that'll end up. I really, really, really want to get on birth control not just for him but for myself first and foremost, because my cramps these past few months have been bad enough to make me vomit, cry, or do any combination of the two. My mom knows this, knows I want to see a doctor, knows I feel it's urgent, but she drags her feet every time it comes up in conversation. I get told "soon" and months pass with nothing happening, and the cramps just keep getting worse month after month, not to mention my big date getting closer and, honestly, the last thing I want is to ruin my time over there being petrified about babies. I'm worried the severe cramps might be a sign of something serious, but I have no way to go to the doctor on my own and it rests entirely on my mom's shoulders now, which is infuriating because she does nothing. I know what she'll say, because she says it every time, and that that we don't really have money, or that she knows I want to go, or that she knows my cramps are bad, or that she knows I want to start birth control before the apocalypse runs around and then she does nothing.
I really don't want to die due to some freak ovary-nomming cramp monster, but I can't really do anything else but accept that mom is putting it off for whatever reason and it's really making me frightened.

Sorry I'm not really offering any helpful advice, I really hope you can get her to take you. I know that kind of pain is no joke.

Re: Female Reproductive Health [explicit]
Now I go recently because of bad constant abdominal pain - she told me it was something like inflammed ovaries and it's common for women. Try a different BC, doesn't help. Come back a month later, THIS time they make me take a piss test, 'oh, you have a urinary tract infection'! I'm dubious, since there's no burning, just abdominal PAIN. I'm going to try the pills to clear up the infection, and if I don't feel better, I'm fucking forcing them to do an ultrasound. I. Am. Furious. And I'm fucking tired of being in pain for a year plus. I missed a fourth of my senior year of HS because of it, and I had near-perfect attendance before that.

Obviously I'm not a doctor and I can't diagnose you, but I had the same symptoms as you (excruciating, unnaturally painful cramps), and it ended up being a combination of cysts on the ovaries and endometriosis. Endometriosis is a condition where the inter-uterine tissues that build up before your period actually form OUTSIDE of the uterus as well, so when you do have your period, tissue also sheds from the outside and it hurts way worse. Cysts on the ovaries is pretty self-explanatory, but gone untreated for too long, it could leave you infertile.Nubhorns wrote:Ugggh my family.

These problems are usually treated with birth control (if you have fewer periods, there's less tissue build-up, and less scarring). There should be a free (or cheap) health clinic in your area where you can go and get a check-up. They can also get you started on birth control pills. You will probably have to be 17 to go alone, however (16 at the very youngest, I would think. It just depends on where you live). I started having sex at 17 and my parents are very Baptist and very opposed to pre-marital sex, so I just went to the health clinic. After a much-needed check up, they gave me a 3 month supply of birth control pills, and all of it together cost me 5 dollars. Alternatively, if there's a Door of Hope in your town or some other family planning center, you could likely get taken care of there.
Your mom is probably putting it off because she can't handle the thought of you being sexually active (even if the pills WERE just for your cramps, the connotation is still there), but frankly, she needs to get over the social stigma and worry more about your health.

Re: Female Reproductive Health [explicit]
I so need to call a gynecologist. Every freaking period leaves me with crippling abdominal pain, and this time during PMS, I had other pains I don't normally have. A couple years ago I had a regular ultrasound and a trans-vaginal ultrasound for this very reason. My GP said there wasn't anything there, but then when I sounded surprised she said, "Well, there was a small cyst on your ovary, but that's pretty common during ovulation." I accepted that explanation, but lately I've been wondering if it wasn't something else. Yay.
Edit: Oh, and my period's been really heavy and I've been passing a lot of little pieces of uterine lining. Well, not all of them have been little. I passed one a few hours ago that was about the size of a gold dollar coin. That felt...unique.

Re: Female Reproductive Health [explicit]
I kind of know how you feel. Not with the pain so much, as I don't really have cramps, but lately my periods make se so nauseous I can barely pull myself out of bed. I've been trying to get on birth control to help regulate my periods (they've been getting heavier each month, and the nausea and cramps are getting worse as well), but my mom is pitching a fit about it. She says I don't need birth control unless I plan on having sex, even though she knows that's not true. I'm pretty sure she's never been on birth control in her life.Nubhorns wrote:Ugggh my family.

My main worry is actually why she had me. She had cysts and, had she not gotten pregnant when she did, she would never have been able to have kids. She wasn't much older than I am now, only a couple of years or so. And she's not the first in the family to have this problem. I think it may actually be part of why she's pushing so hard for me to get a boyfriend, but I'd rather just get the birth control.
On a mostly unrelated note, I also wish she'd stop insisting that what seems to be asthma is allergies. I just want to go to the doctor and get it checked out (and maybe get on birth control while I'm there), especially because asthma can be fatal if it's not caught. I'm sick of being unable to breathe, I'm sick of my lungs and heart aching all the time. I wish she weren't so stubborn.
I also wish that I wasn't a loser who can't drive at almost nineteen. OTL

I was going to go in May but I have a crippling fear of doctors that causes me to panic and put it off even though every time I have my period it feels like I might die. I tell other people to go if they must and help take care of everyone else but not myself. My last period kept me bedridden for two days with pain and cramping and all kinds of awful. It was also the first period I've had in months so it was grossly heavy and I felt so weak. It was as if I'd lost several pints of blood every day complete with icky varying sized globs of uterine lining. I don't know why I can't bring myself to care enough to take myself to the doctor.

Here I thought my periods were bad. I know you fear doctors, but it really is best to get something like that taken care of now rather than later. Let's put it this way, the way it's going, you're going to end up in a medical facility (be it Dr's office or ER) one day anyway. Might as well make it now while you can still hopefully find treatment, than later when your uterus is about to explode and surgery is the only option. I have a friend who is still going through trouble even after her two embolizations. Honestly, the sooner you can get looked at, the better.
