I think I got it anyway.
I had Anhka nabbed from under me (they waited until I had the aggro on the mobs around her) so I went back to my tree to wait.
After much complaining (and many splinters in the butt for my poor Asli) I was about to log when NPC scan scared the bejesus out of me. Easy as heck. Put down my trap, waited, dismounted and hit arcane shot, fell down and untargeted then tamed. Time is 7:02 on my server, Scryers.
I'm going to go pass out now...
