Stable ideas for a maybe baby hunter?

Oh, I absolutely love all of Syrenah’s new pets! I am especially thrilled to see Wheatley with her; the two of them just go together flawlessly. I am feeling the scorpid love, too! Scorpions in real life kind of freak me out, but goodness I love that cute claw waving. It’s why Constantyne tamed one of the blue and white ones! In direct response to that last picture… HI SKITTER! Don’t worry about a flood, I love seeing screenshots As for cropping in Paint, what operating system are you on? If you have Windows 7, there is a button that says “Crop” on the top panel, under “Image.”

Oh my goodness, I LOVE Wykk! That picture of him speaks a thousand words. I can so see him with a big ol’ bear, or a rhino, or something else equally huge and intimidating. I love how you’ve tied him into your other characters so well! I’ve been wanting to try out a goblin, and your picture of Wykk just might have pushed my desire over the edge. I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out and stressed with my work, so something fun might be a nice way to relieve some stress.

I’m so glad to hear Rendir is in Winterspring! I can’t wait to see pictures and read the story, but I can just imagine in my head how well he would fit in there. That’s a really good idea about the dual boxing – I might try that if my photoshop jobs turn out as awful as I fear they will

I agree with Quiv that you definitely have a gift, Kylah! I wish I could take such telling screenshots. Each one of them seems to tell a different story. I can’t wait to read more about Syrenah and her awesome pets! Both of you write so, so well and I’m so excited to hear you are both working on more!

I’ve got a couple of story ideas floating in my head, too, that I might try to bring to fruition sometime. One is an amusing one about Const and Whit, something much more lighthearted and flirty and, hopefully funny – I’ve never been great with writing comedy. I have been pondering a couple of side characters so to speak – kind of like Wykk is to Syrenah and Iraelia – that are of different classes, maybe even different races, just for me to kind of goof around with and blow off some steam – characters I won’t take so seriously. I’ve thought about a friend of Constantyne’s (poor guy needs one – maybe that’s my excuse for a goblin!) and perhaps a night elf friend of Whitnee’s that she met when she was inflicted with the worgen curse, someone who helped her master the beastly side of her.

I’ve also thought of something a little sadder, but don’t worry it turns out cute. I am thinking that when Bastien was killed, Annemarie had been pregnant with another baby – since Constantyne was growing up and about ready to head out on his own, and blood elves have wider lifespan, I can see them having wanted to start over with another baby now that their boy was all grown up. She would have miscarried out of pure grief. (I also thought about the baby having survived, but then it would be growing up with no dad and a mostly-crazy mom!) When Bastien comes back, I figure he won’t be able to impregnate her again – he is technically dead, after all. So I thought maybe they could adopt a baby! Maybe one orphaned by the cataclysm, and maybe one not necessarily a blood elf or even any other Horde race. For some reason I was thinking a little draenei girl. What do you guys think?

One last thing (I promise I will shut up after this – I had a long drive last night and today and my mind just wandered) is that, have you guys ever thought about nicknames that your other characters call each other? Like Quiv, for Rendir and Salaina for each other and terms of endearment for Aylee? And Kylah, same thing with Iraelia and her twin daughters? I already know that Whitnee calls Constantyne her “silly elf” and I was thinking about “sunshine” too – everything about blood elves is quite warm and sunny. For Const, I can see him calling Whit his mutt or his mongrel Maybe I’ve just heard Kael’thas’ speech in Magister’s Terrace too many times trying to get that white hawkstrider…

Lol wow that was a long post but all of it sounds interesting! I love the little draenei orphan girls, they are so cute! So I think Bastien and Annemarie adopting one would be a great idea! The characters that I have are all friends in some way or another but the only real nickname is the one my hunter has for my druid, because my druid is resto, Airwyn calls her "Leafy" My druid's actual name is Leafmealone as kind of a joke but when I think of rp's between my druid and hunter or another character I switch her name to Rora. You have so many amazing ideas for your characters, I love it!

You are too sweet Airwyn, thank you so much - you give me too much credit I absolutely love Leafy, that's such a cute nickname for a druid. And her real name is hilarious I just love thinking up quirks like nicknames for my characters, it just seems to add another dimension of reality to them.

Those draenei orphan girls are exactly what made me think of one for Bastien and Annemarie... can't you just see two blood elves cuddling and coddling one?

Took me 48 kills for the White Hawkstrider, just got it a couple weeks back. Don't give up!

And I can see Wykk with a rhino, that would be so fitting to me. Makes me chuckle just thinking about it, I hate how you have to be 69 to even consider taming exotics (Rendir has passed many a white chimera while muttering to himself lol).

I haven't come up with nicknames, but I have considered other characters. Mainly, the shady character that Aylee becomes friends with, the one who introduces to the Survival hunter art. In my head, he a subtlety rogue with survival hunter mixed in. A forsaken.

I’ve logged 26 kills so far myself – it’s so hard to not give up, it gets so frustrating! I love hawkstriders, and he and one of the Argent Tournament hawkstriders are the only ones Constantyne is lacking for his collection. It doesn’t help that Kael is one of my favorite characters and I hate killing him over and over, even if he went bat crazy on everyone

I hate the level restriction for exotics, too Here are some other ideas I thought up for Wykk:

I am VERY curious to see the shady forsaken that Aylee becomes friends with – man, he’s going to be lucky if Rendir doesn’t just shoot him up on the spot I’m debating classes/races for my three side characters. I thought about a forsaken friend for Constantyne, but that would just be cruel to Whit. He’s scared of trolls himself (my big baby!) and for some reason an orc, tauren or goblin doesn’t really seem to mesh. I am almost considering it being another blood elf that he grew up with – one who survived the invasion as well. Not sure about the class, though.

For Whitnee’s night elf friend, another druid would make sense – but I already have one other in addition to Whit, and I’m not really looking to start another one just yet. So I’m not sure.

For the draenei orphan, I am thinking about a paladin. Annemarie is going to be so devastated at what she became when she lost Bastien, I see her really turning back to the Light in a big way – and I can see her raising her adopted baby in those teachings as well, but as a paladin rather than a priest. An unholy death knight with a priestess wife and adopted paladin daughter… fun family

I am LOVING that picture of Rendir and the cats!!!! Wow… you weren’t kidding about Winterspring suiting him to a T.

EDIT: I'm thinking Whit's night elf friend will be male... and Const will be very jealous around him, and territorial I thought it could add in some laughs.

You guys have got me thinking more about side characters. I had some toons I was already working on long before I started the Rendir/Salaina/Aylee story, maybe integrate them. Obviously I wouldn't need to level them like the hunters, just maybe enough to get them to the nearest major city, get some armor that suits them for screenies or whatever.

I also have some family members that don't play major roles in my story. I think I might intro the Night Elf that Salaina become friends with, the one who trained her in marksmanship.

A baby step-aunt... you're right, that's what she would be But oh, Bastienne will ADORE her. I'm sure she will spend all of her time treating her like she is a doll, dressing her up in all kinds of (what else?) super girly dresses and bows and the such.

I'm not planning on really leveling any of these side characters past level ten maybe, or whatever it takes to get some nice-looking clothes as you said (within reason of course.) I just want to be able to take screenies, too, and be able to display them on the armory. I think it would be great to have the night elf as a character! She was such an important part of Salaina's life, I would love to see an interpretation so far.

Here is what I know about these three side characters so far:

- Constantyne's blood elf best friend will be called Kristos, Kris for short. They were both born around the same time, I think Kris' mother was probably a priestess under Annemarie's training. They grew up together. He survived the invasion and was who stopped Constantyne from totally coming apart when Bastien died and Annemarie went nuts. Not sure about class.

- I am thinking Valerian for the name of Whitnee's night elf friend. After she was infected with the worgen curse, he sort of mentored her and helped her gain control of it. Constantyne can't stand him and is jealous of him because he's sure he's trying to make a move on his girl Again, not sure about class.

- Bastien and Annemarie's adopted draenei daughter will be Anastasea, and I am pretty sure she will be a paladin! I'm not sure how exactly they wind up adopting her, but I figure she was probably orphaned by the cataclysm as a baby.

I have some mental images planned out for all three of them, and I will probably try to make some tentative characters for them to take screenies. Maybe they will inspire ideas for classes. If you guys have ideas, please let me know

You could rule them out by thinking of each class (there's 10 total, I keep forgetting that) and asking if that class would work. Like for Valerian I would think like this:

DK: no
Warrior: no
Warlock: maybe
Mage: maybe
Hunter: no
Priest: no
Rogue: maybe
Paladin: maybe
Druid: maybe
Shaman: no

Then you can take the maybe's and choose your favorites until you wind it down to 1 or 2. (these are just my suggestions >.>)

Syrenah = Syr ((pronounced Sear)), Little Renah ((Wykk's nickname for her)), Mud ((*insert secret character's name here*'s nickname for her))
Ferrarius (Kirrie's bronze drake): Ferr ((pronounced fair))


Also...Iraelia wants a son, very badly. So, I'm thinking that she adopts a teenage something, because remarrying, pregnancy, etc, would take too long for him to get up to the general age level of everyone else (for my rp and storywriting reasons...she couldn't care less about the age). Any thoughts on that?

I love the idea of Iraelia adopting! After raising two girls by herself, I can see her definitely wanting a boy for a change of pace I think adopting a teenager would be sweet. Maybe think about going for an Alliance race, too? I'm loving the idea of Bastien and Annemarie having their little draenei And I know what you mean about being an altoholic... speaking of...

Here are tentative character designs for the three side characters I tried to catch personality in them. It's Valerian that I am having trouble with - I just have a hard time click with male night elves, for some reason. Anyway, here's Anastasea as she would look all grown up:

I've narrowed down what Lia's son will be to these:

Tauren hunter (Just think of Syr's response when her mother brings home a giant cow, complete with MORE animals )
Worgen something (A teenage Gilnean poor boy who got bitten and is starting a new life...possibilities galore! )
Draenei hunter/warrior (Fresh from Draenor, terribly accented common, even worse orcish )
Troll hunter (Tribal pets, no thanks! (in Syr and Kirrie's eyes) )

I really wanted to go with a human, but the male human faces...ugh I can't stand them unless they have the full beard on them, which a teenage boy wouldn't exactly have

The tauren would be called Treegen (a male tauren name I've had since BC) and nicknamed Patches or Tree
Worgens name is yet to be found
Draenei is also nameless
Troll would be Narkaa, which is the name of my original male troll (first horde I ever made for just myself, first horde ever was a tauren shared with my brother)

I am in love with Anastasea, too! The hairstyle was absolutely not an accident, I really based her entire look off the cute little girl!

I know what you mean about the human male faces... it's the same problem I'm having with the male night elf faces I love worgen, and the bitten Gilnean teenager opens up SO many possibilities, as you said. I think my second favorite choice is a tauren - I can just see a blood elf, single mother raising a big ol' tauren boy I wonder how the girls would react to their mom adopting an Alliance race, after the Alliance caused their dad's death?

I love this thread too... I'm thrilled as to how much it's evolved to suck other people into my web!!

Worgen and Tauren are the final choices! I just love the big, fluffy fellows

Worgen Ideas:
He would be either called Alvar, Benjii, Adrian, or Lucien
He would be either a warrior, druid, or hunter
Probably the tan fur, with the green-eyed face, and I'm not sure what ears

Tauren Ideas:
He would be called Treegen, nicknamed Patches or Tree
He would either be a warrior or hunter
With the black and white patchy fur, the younger looking face with the blue eyes, and the small horns

So...tauren or worgen?

Also, I will be posting the story of Syrenah's nickname "Mud" in a few minutes...just need to work out a few little details. It does happen in the future, when she's in Un'goro Crater, so when I post the ones I was previously working on (later next week, woot woot!!! ) she doesn't have the nickname "Mud" yet Going to go write it now! I'll edit this post with a link when I'm done.

Oh, I loved the story! It was so cute and hilarious, you had me laughing out loud more than once I am totally torn between a worgen or a tauren! I love the idea of both, but I’m torn between which I like more. A worgen opens up the Alliance issue, which is a fun story arc and a great opportunity for character development. I’m sure Rae is pretty prejudiced against the Alliance, too, so what would make her feel for this lad so much that she’d want to take him in? But then, I can also see a big ol’ boy tauren in a family of blood elves, and it’s an awesome mental image I’m so torn!!!

Quiv, that picture is stunning. Rendir looks so amazing with that cat – with that whole environment, really. Him, Salaina, and Aylee just MUST live in Winterspring!!! It’s too perfect for him!

I’ve been playing a lot with Whitnee today, and she is up to level 30 I also took a moment to take some screenies, sadly sans-Const but screenies nonetheless…



Here she is, making a wish on the copper she just threw into the Stormwind fountain. Her wish is the same every time: for peace to be had all throughout the world, so no more families will be destroyed and she and her Constantyne can be together without opposition.

On the outskirts of Stormwind, there is a small, abandoned old lighthouse. Before she and Constantyne married, this used to be their secret meeting spot. She would wait out to the lighthouse in the dark and cower behind its back wall, so no spotlights from the shore would spot her and send guards out to find out what she was doing. Here she is, waiting for him.

I'm working on Wykk's stable before I get him out of the Lost Isles so I have a good idea of what I'm going for...here are my ideas so far:


Some nice intimidating choices there, that would also be nice when not all defensive (Bear, fox, boar, wolf, cat, etc.) What do you guys think?

That is going to be a nice stable for Wykk. Good luck getting the death ravager though, he is a bit of a pain for a horde. He will look good I imagine! I am curious about one thing, what inspired him having the demon hounds?

I love your newest story so much!!! The screenshots are amazing. I wish I had you guys' talent Ratchet sounds like the perfect meeting spot for Salaina and Ren! I know Const and Whit's is pushing it a little - I don't doubt Const hasn't been attacked by the Alliance air guards before - but I have a feeling he'd rather her be safe in Stormwind while he tries to make the dangerous treks.

I guess we are all on a roll today because I wrote a short story, too It's just a short one about Const and Whit - just trying to flesh out their relationship, and their characters more. It's not great but I had fun with it. Here it is:
