no entirely true. the family was added, as well as all current hydras in game were changed from unknown to beast hydra. they were given tameable features" which ment they have the pet abilities and diet but arent tameable *yet. This indicated they were going to be tameable soon, as they were given the stats. maybe blizzards waiting for the abysmal maul to open up maybe its later on. but we do know they wouldnt do this if they weren't highly considering as animals like the pterrodax, stags, and basalisks weren't given the same attention

If 4.3 is going to be the theme water hydras could fit in perfectly :p

wasn't 4.3 suppose to be the last patch of cata making it the deathwing patch? a year of deathwing yay!

I'll join the armwaving for hydras.

Mind you... I'd ALSO like to speak up for basilisks. For all we know, they may have tweaked them already like the hydras, but since no one had a 'cheater' basilisk (unlike Atha) we wouldn't know.

Still.

BASILISKS, DURNIT. (please?)

Also... if they're going to put in those new hairstyles, how about PLEASE PLEASE GOD PLEASE fixing the ones with broken hairlines? C'mon, I've been begging since BC, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?

The numbering can always change, you know - 4.1 and 4.2 were originally one patch!

True, but also didn't blizzard say they were spreading the patches? so would we even get a raid with this one is the question.

I don't really want hydras, but I'll put in a vote for them anyway so people will finally stop screaming about them. That said I think people should remember no promises were made. Noah didn't climb down from his spinny-chair of godliness and say "Hey, you guys will definitely get hydras.". The skills were datamined and like it was mentioned earlier, yes, it does seem as if they were prepping to make them tameable, but maybe something came up and it had to be scrapped.

I guess what I'm saying is that you can be as excited and hopeful for hydras as you want, but remember that they were never promised to us. :)

To stay on topic, I'd also like to see the pink hippogryph made into a mount. Flying over Darnassus or through Feralas physically hurts - those colors are so gorgeous!

I don't especially want to spend years camping/grinding for it, but I'd do whatever it takes. My poor Cenarion Hippogryph needs some new non-fiery friends. :C

CAN WE PLEASE FIX THE BUTT-SCOOTING BIRDS!?!?!?

Every condor, and every brown druid-hawk STILL BUTTSCOOTS. And has since wrath. >__<
Hell, even the ONE condor that didn't butt-scoot got "fixed" shortly after Cata dropped.

Please please please please please PLEASE PLEASE fix these!!

Butt-scooting, as it is referred to as, is when the bird mob doesn't have a normal flying animation, they stay in their idle motion after taming which is tail down and hovering which gives them the 'butt-scoot' look.

Its something that has bugged me whenever I try to get past it to tame bird pets and has severely limited my options of taming one since it seems that almost all of the birds I like seem to butt-scoot. :(
