Rude Rare Steals/Kills

Thought lately we might need a thread like this. What rude rare steals/kills have you experienced?

I just experienced my first one, being on a low pop server. Gonna refer the others as A and T. I’d found Skoll and whispered A to see if A wanted to tame him. After several more whispers and no reply I whispered T who came all the way from SW to get him. Finally T got there and starts to tame, immediently A swoops down (I hadn’t realized A was hovering overhead most of the time) and snags Skoll and tames him herself. Then without a word A mounts up and flys away. Just rude. AUGH

Also, when I was going to put A on wowjackass.com, I found someone already put her up for a different reason. Figures :/

no offence but we have plenty of these and the new 4.3 tame threads already i almost wish theyd put them all into one big thread...

dam that sucks ive been robbed for skitter flame 5 times now everytime it spawns the same 5 horde a 2 rogues a pally and 2 hunters gank me and kill it everytime and ive been camping it for 4 days now its the last 1 i need besides anhak to have all 10 of the new rares

I was trying to help a fellow hunter tame Solix, as Solix becomes tamable a pally ran up and kited him until he died

Horde chick that was supposed to be my friend stole my Skarr tame. Recently another horde stole Skarr from me midtame.

A tauren stole Karkin from me midtame. A blood elf stole Skarr from my friend I was camping with. Same blood elf and tauren continue to grief us by summoning them and putting them on the platforms.

I was hanging out with this blood elf who was camping Skarr, he had came up and attacked me and i fended him off 3-4 times I didn't really WANT Skarr. Anywho we were messing around i snuck up behind him with a rhino and horn tossed him over the edge, he came back and laughed so we were bored and ran around the place killing the phoenix's and stuff when all of a sudden Kirix the green spider spawns, this blood elf i guess doesnt want it so its me and three other hunters taming it we each just keep getting slaughtered by kirix over and over again. We would each come within like half a second I finally switched to marks with my imp haste and then lifeblood and cast deterrence at the last second my tame went off. Right after I tame Kirix Skarr spawns and the blood elf successfully tames him so we give eachother /congrats and then go our separate ways. D:

This isn't really fitting in with the whole theme of the post but both times ive seen skarr someone else has gotten em :p, I got a neat spider though.

Oh and the same blood elf griefing me and my friend also stole Skitterflame from me. I did all the work to get his barrier down and she stole the tame.

Good luck with that. The success stories thread wasn't quite as much of a success as I had hoped.

so me and my friend been camping skarr cuz he needs it and this rogue pally druid warrior and shammy keep killing skarr every time it spawns i hate ppl so much

I just had the urge to punch a wall because a guildmate got the achievement 'Northern Exposure' from killing Loque (I already have him, so he isn't the main focus of the story) but not even a couple seconds afterwards, she goes "just killed king Krush now XD".

I stared for a few seconds at those words before bursting into tears.

Geez, this thread makes me realize that rare hunting turns some people into monsters. The worst I got was my Anthriss tale of woe with a paladin killing it and laughing at us. Or the orcs running around with Skarr and Karkin, being sure to run all over each rare spawn point. Funny thing is, I ended up taming Kirix so another could hopefully pop and the road would be clear to Skarr/Karkin/Skitter.

I feel like, this sympathetic anger. :/

like i can understand if a hunter kills a rare but its still bullshit to me cause other hunters r camping them but what makes me mad the most is when a like a pally or something is camping rares to kill it like come on thats some bullshit

A hunter that refused to let anyone else have a turn at Deth'tilac, even after he died to it for 15-20 minutes straight. It took quick thinking and careful aggro management to help a friend tame her.

A hunter, mage, and paladin that tore into Solix, taking aggro and holding him out of lava so that another friend couldn't tame it.

A warrior that jumped onto Skarr's platform and killed him with spell reflect, with at least three or four hunters watching.

What scares me is that my normally craphole server is stacking up as one of the NICER servers with all that's going on. Yay for low pop and carebearing.

now that is fucked up i would have to gank them until they quit wow for good

Went up to check on Skarr, sat around for 2 hours with a troll hunter, another alliance guy came along and said "that guy has been sitting there all day" and then leaves. so it's just me and the troll, I go down to the bottom spawn and start bouncing around on the platforms to pass time; he spawns at the northern spot so I rush over and when I get there a worgen is blowing him up while the troll is trying to tame him. I fire a distracting shot, tap escape a couple of times, and then pop ancient hysteria/dismiss my pet, waiting for them both to die - but the cat got totally shredded.

It's really stupid behaviour, because not only does the worgen now have to compete against the same people for that catch all over again - i'll also kill whatever he attempts to tame out of pure spite for the rest of WoW, should I happen to bump into him at the right time(s).

At least I can try and find out the spawn timer, decided to go and do other stuff for 4.5 hours, i'll go back to camping in another 2 hours - i've logged on twice and that troll is still standing there.

Poor troll. ;n; He's been sitting there so long and he doesn't even get the tame. That worgen was super rude.
