Kirix Finds a New Home

After spending many hours looking for the Cinderweb Broodlings, I just...gave up on them. Too little is known about them, their spawn rate is unpredictable, and I tend to have terrible luck when it comes to rare spawns. Out of all the new pets, I wanted a green spider the most and I really didn't want to have to fight for Kirix if I had to.

But, hours pass... I get antsy, and NPCScan goes off and tells me that Kirix is up. Well... I missed it, since I was at the opposite end of the zone. It was then that I decided "Why not?" and decided to try my hand for him the next day.

I started camping at around 11:00 AM PST and got into a nice chat with all the other hunters in the zone via /general chat. Though there was a nice huntress by the name of Sereline who asked me what I was hunting for and then gave me some nice pointers on the easiest way to tame Kirix. So, I perched up on one of the northern floating rocks that's closest to Kirix's spawn point and waited...

At around 3:00 PM PST, Kirix appeared and my heart lodged itself in my throat. Alright, it was go time. I read up on the strats, I had haste potions, I was in Marks for Deterrence/Readiness goodness. I was good to go.

I died. Horribly. Several times. I just didn't have enough haste and I was about to try the tried and tested disengage trick instead – but then Sereline invites me to group and gives me a corehound buff. Taming that poisonous green spider was easy as pie, due to that.

And, what was even nicer, I saw a familiar face rooting for me in the background, too. A nice troll huntress by the name of Taizak, who found Sambas for my friend not so long ago, was there cheering me on as well.

It was really nice to have that sort of hunter love given to me, especially since it has never happened before and I am the one being the one who's nice to other hunters in trying to place tames, etc...

Well... Now I have a lovely green spider named Aveira thanks to their support.

Guys, if you're reading this... Taizak, keep being awesome. Sereline, thank you so much for the company and for the corehound buff.

Aww, thank you! I would have helped, but cross-faction Kirix aid is pretty impossible, hehe. I was so glad to see you tame him at last. I was beginning to get worried. Congratulations, and love the name!
