So... Damage meters...
I've used Recount and Omen for as long as I could remember, but have been toying with swapping to Skada. I never use the graphs and such from Recount, and they bloat the addon since you can't disable them, and I hate how they pop up if I accidentally click the window. Skada lets me have as many windows as I like, with in combat and out of combat settings. So, I installed it, only disabling Omen and Recount in case I regret the download. I set up a threat window which swaps to damage done out of combat, and my dps window, which stays that way in or out of combat. It looks nice, and I know the readouts are different since it doesn't split pets and owners, and it deals with combat a little differently than Recount. So. My question is, how many of you use Skada, especially you raiders out there? I'd like as much info as I can get regarding the two addons, and your opinions on them.

I use Recount simply because most other people do and thus my Recount data will match my raid's data more closely. Skada logs combat data differently than Recount - Recount begins to register your DPS as soon as the fight starts, while Skada begins when you personally begin damage. This is one reason it is lighter weight, but it also contributes to significantly different numbers. It can be argued that Skada is actually more accurate than Recount, but for the sake of raid consistency Recount "plays nicer" with everyone else.
However, you will also notice that if your raid logs it's combat, numbers you see on Recount will be different than the WWS or WorldOfLogs reports. I don't yet know if Skada is closer in keeping with those logs given the above reasons.
As for the threat meter I don't have any input. I've been using Omen for so long I'm just used to it and rely on it, so I'm hesitant to switch to another tool.

I use Recount and (turn on your shocked faces) Healbot for DPS count / threatmeter. It saves me some addonspace to have Healbot show threat instead. Much simpler than Omen, but still effective. It makes it easy to see who's pulling aggro and who's not. I love it.
