Madexx, now with Freezing Trap immunity!

So my Undead hunter has an absurd knack for flying into Uldum and finding Madexx, and I'm keeping a nice list of fellow hunters who I inadvertantly "camp" for. Rehoming is an awesome game all its own!

But the past two spawns since Firelands, I have come across a change that I have not seen discussed on the forums or in Blizz notes. Madexx is now immune to Freezing Traps. Not really a big deal at 85, maybe more at 84....definitely if Deathwing decides to stop by.

Has anyone noticed a change in CCs to any other rares since the patch?

I'm currently typing this trying to find a poor lost Dante a home. I have to FD now, no more traps to keep him from gnawing my face lovingly.

Edit - Rehomed to a fellow Undead, level 84. I can't get over how empty Uldum is now. Almost a half-hour with Madexx staying alive for that right person!

I've been having "Immune" pop up in heroics on generic trash mobs, such as the Amani Medicine Man in Zul'Aman. I know he can be trapped, but he is literally immune at random times.


I'm calling glitch. Average, run-of-the-mill henchmen should not be immune to basic traps. Madexx? Just a huge scorpion with nothing of worth. Why would he now act like a boss? It's like a fat little kid trying to act tough; just doesn't work! (No offense to fellow fatties)

Yeah, as am I. I had several mobs just stand on my trap that I know I've trapped before in the lost city thing. :/

I've had this happen alot recently too, and it does it to other players in BGs as well

Yeah, so is Alawys, at least for a level 84. Each spawn I fired at least 8 traps, and got "Immune" on every one.

XD I keep looking for Broodlings, and checking the general population around Kirix.

Solix is the one spider I'd love to have, but....mrgh....that challenge scares me. :C

Thanks! Fifteen hours in the tree of doom, I have camping pretty much pounded out of me now.

If Solix ever happens to pop at a convenient time, I would definitely take a shot. But to be honest, the griefers worry me more than the mechanics of the tame. Just one patch is all it took to render Uldum a ghost town, and Madexx is almost as casual as finding Mazzranache now. I almost don't get that heartstopping "pleasedon'tgankitpleasedon'tgankit" moment when taming. I don't mind waiting for that. XD

Yeah, I don't know how you can stand that, personally. @_@ I would be a nervous wreck. It's not in my nature to stack a camper who's already there....it seems like anything goes in that portal, ugh.

Oddly, players during my camp of Banth were exceptionally kind, and in the end communication led to two new friends and two additional Banthalos tames. It was safe in my tree. Then I went to the spawn points in Firelands and just went .

XD I love playing the rock-hop, though.

Honestly, Solix isn't that bad, especially if you can get a druid buddy to roots him. I managed to kite him a bit then I got blown into the lava by one of those stupid fireballs. I was sweating bullets since other hunters were in the cave. But strangely, Solix didn't reset. Oh no. Instead, I see a giant orange butt over the lava coming at me. One last conc shot+trap and one very, very well done Draenei later I had it.

I can't recall if Sambas has been cc'able before, but. The other day, when I was watching him for a friend, I tried to trap him several times, and was given the immune error. I wonder if it is a bug, or if it's somehow tied to with the fact that you can now cc mobs without them aggroing on you (Freezing Trap, Wyvern Sting)

I had the 'immune' thing pop up on Karoma today. I didn't think anything of it; figured that he'd just been immune and I'd remembered wrong. But now I'm wondering about that.

I was definitely able to CC Sambas no problem a couple days ago for a friend of mine, and haven't tried lately. Is there a new hotfix lately?

I CC'd both Sambas and Loque this week without issues. I'd just chalk it up to a random glitch for random things. I sure hope they aren't going to be immune this is the best way I hold rares for my friends. D:

I've yet to try and trap any rares, as I've yet to FIND them XD

I noticed this back when running a few random PuG in Vortex Pinnacle. At first I thought nothing of it then it just kept happening and happening. Other dungeon goers kept basically saying "hunter fail @ CC" then I kept explaining that for some reason it wouldn't go off even though the trap was perfectly placed. Same thing with Utdrade Pinnacle. I just dismissed it as dungeon glitching since my traps had been fine else where but now I see I am not the only one with this issue. Time to creat some tickets.

It's definitely some kind of bug, cause I was able to trap Madexx just fine last Wednesday evening (EU patch day).
