Unexpected Finish

After reading the many taming stories here, I thought I'd sign up and post a few of my own for once. So brand new herexD

When I first saw the challenge pets, I decided to pick out the ones I am going to shoot for. Magria, Ban'thalos, Skarr, and Ankha in that order.

I expected to be camping these for weeks, which is usually how long it takes me to get new rares>> I have no patience to sit there for hours on end.

I start off with Magria. I take all my hunter's gear off and park her in one of the spawns. I go on my druid and start grinding AV. Everytime I finished a AV, I'd go and check for that pretty cat. I did this all day, until finally around 11:30ish P.M ST, I check. I use a macro, since that NPCScan refuses to download for me-.- My macro picks it up and I fly down there all in a fluster. I land and start tame, all good...but of course I aggro a nearby fire thing and it starts attacking me. I almost died, but in the end I got it. I named it after Optimus Prime, because I am a huge TF fan!


Next, Ban'thalos. Now this one I thought for sure I'd have a hard time with. I parked myself in the talles tree and did the same camping technique I used with Mag. There were usually two or three other hunters in the same tree, but I never stayed longer then two minutes. Most of this time there was a Tauren hunter there. I was nervous, thinking if he did spawn when I was there, I'd screw up. Well, logged in checked and there he was...on the other side of where I was! I didn't dare leave me tree and fly over there to tag for fear of falling to my death. So I wait, and wait, and some more waiting for him to get closer to my side. I fly up and shoot him down. A blood elf hunter appears and I believe he tried to take a shot at it to, but Ban kept coming at me. I landed back down on the tree and tamed him with no problems. I named him Guardian.

Now Skarr...he was one of the worst camps I've ever done. There were always five or more hunters there, mostly Horde, so I didn't have anyone to talk to since I was Alliance. I tried camping by sitting there with Skarr since I heard he has a shortish spawn timer. I could only mage a few hours before I couldn't sit there anymore. So I went and did BGs on my druid. I had my hunter parked at his northern spawn. Logged in and saw a goblin hunter there. I was just about to log off for another BG when he...spawned. The timing of that...The goblin tags him first, so I lurk off to the side to see what happens, at least I think she tagged him first, it's all muddledxD Anyways she dies so I try, only to have four other hunters and their buddies descend out of nowhere. A taming war soon follows, I almost had him at one point, one second left on the tame but a mage takes aggro from me sadly:( Everyone kept dying, but eventually a Blood Elf and her shammy got it, gratz to her. After that I was not a happy hunter>< I wasn't sure if I wanted to camp him if it's going to be like that ever time he spawns. But heck, I even dreamed about taming him:roll: What's up with that?xD I did chat with another Worgen hunter on and off, so that was a nice change from the dullness. Karkin spawned and I was disapointed because I wanted Skarr, some blood elf hunter got him. I didn't even try. A few more days of on and off camping. The crab spawns. That same worgen hunter goes for him and I watch. She dies in the attempt so I thought I'd give it a shot. I die, since I didn't realize his thing was the same as Skarr, but snag him in the end. I named him Soundwave, yay for Transformers:D

More on and off camping, more Horde hunters...

I go off and do a random instance with a friend on my druid. We finish and I go check Skarr. I log on and see his dot in the southern spawn. I start freaking out. Since that was where I had been sitting most of the day. I jump down to see a troll already there. I start tame, but he takes aggro from me. So this keeps up the entire time, both of us dying and trying to tame. He doesn't stop a barrage and dies, I jump forward and start to tame while he's down. I get to 4secs left when the troll returns and tries shooting at him again, but the tame finishes:o I was having a nervous breakdownxD But he was finally mine. I thought I'd have to wait a few months to get him. I named him Abyss after my own Transformers character, lol.

And now the finish...

I was not expecting to get Ankha the same day as Skarr, I was doing the BG thing I did with Mag. I heared, but just as I was hearthing I spotted that same Worgen hunter, Jessibelle camping for Mags. She already had Ankha so I thought we could camp together. So I flew back and we camped. I was reading posts on here, when I checked back, she was telling me Ankha spawned. I zoom my butt over there and...can't see her or the cat. She follows Ankha around, telling me to hurry, but I -still- couldn't see either. Finally I spot them, turns out I was lagging. I swoop down to tame, more lag and then I d/c. I log back in and tame, named it after RatchetxD I owe Jessibelle. If it wasn't for her I would not have gotten that final tame. I would have quit for the night and gone to bed, but staying up payed off. I wish her luck in getting her Magria and her Karkin:)

Now I am done, I don't plan on going for the spiders. I'll post pics when WoW comes back up^^

AWSOME! Grats on all those tames. For me, you are sooooooo lucky, as I am on day 7 of Magria, round the clock. I have 2 missed spawns, and a guildie that tamed him from under me lol. You may have to be my Blarney stone, as luck evades me.
