Giving up hope... Time-Lost Kitty.

Day one: I went over to the spawn right after taming Deth'tilac (camped for 9 1/2 hours for him) I saw two of them spawn, one was Karkin, a warrior killed it, then a Skarr that another hunter got.

Days two through three I did not sleep, I was determined to get them both. First up: Skarr! A hunter killed it so that a rival hunter of his who was there wouldn't have the chance to tame it. The next spawn was my Karkin <3, followed by a Skarr that I helped a guildie get (I figured it was fair since I got the crab before). The next three spawns were all Karkin. After the last one I went and camped Deth'tilac with a new-found friend who stayed up all night with me to help him tame it (and we got it for him ^.^).

Day Four: I Log in at 12:30 and wait 5 hours to see a Karkin spawn. I had company over today that came at around 5:30 so I got off after the Karkin spawned. I logged back in at 11 and waited until 12:20 to see.. Karkin! Which nobody wanted and after a couple minute of asking around if anyone wanted it I tamed an abandoned him to restart the spawn timer. It's now 4:40 in the morning and I'm exhausted. Will I ever get a shiny kitty of my own? :'[

After about 50 hours on Fireplume Peak and having helped other hunters with about a dozen other tames now I'm starting to lose hope that Skarr will ever spawn for me...

HUGS! I super understand what you're going through. I've spent about 65 total hours camping since the patch dropped--this has yielded me SEVEN Magrias. I tamed one and found excited hunter friends and strangers to tame the other six. All I want is Ankha, but she's only spawned for me while on a 5 minute bio and a 30 min lunch break, both times gone when I returned to the keyboard.

I am really frowning on Blizz's choice to make rares share spawn points/timers this patch, with the random selection of which will spawn. Really stinks if you want a particular one of them, and can't catch a break with the RNG.

So many hugs to you. I hope that our kitties spawn for us soon, and then we can get some sleep! <3

No spawn. Expecting crab to spawn sometime when I log in tomorrow instead of Skarr...

This really sux Bigred, I know that talking to you the last few days while camping it's been a real pain for you. I kept an out eye out while you were gone for a bit last night and watch poor skitterflame die due to hunters fighting over it. I really wish you the best of luck cause I have seen you help so many others it's way past time for you to get yours.

3 more hours of camping (previous tame was 12:45 but I logged in at 3)... Another Karkin spawned. This is two that I've had to put down because nobody wanted it. Moving close to the 60 hours mark now I think.

Edit: 4 hours, 45 minutes, and some seconds have gone by and there hasn't been a respawn yet. I'm afraid to add up the total amount of time I've spent on this mountain-island-thing...

Edit 2: It's Midnight... I guess we can count this as day six now... *sigh*
I've still got dailies to do on two toons and some heroics to run to cap Valor...

Skarr finally spawned at 1:50 AM...

Some other hunter there killed it. I give up this is ridiculous Q.Q

I can feel your pain on waiting for Ankha. I probably spent a good 30+ hours camping for this spawn alone after I already had lucked into Magria once just to keep seeing Magria spawn each time. Finally last night I managed to see Ankha spawn and was luckily the only one around to tame her, thank God for that. Just keep going and you too shall have yours soon (I hope)

OP: It may be best just to take a few days off from camping it and the number of hunters/rare killers may be reduced with any luck. I wish you the best of luck on your future hunts

Day Six: After camping for seven hours starting right after the server came back up Karkin spawned again. I killed that crab quicker than a cook at Red Lobster.

Mmmhmm I agree any hunter would have loved to have tamed it, unless it was at some sick time in the morning and noone else is there. Its good juju ^.^ Currently still camping anhka to, she likes to spawn an hour after I log off to sleep for once. Or an hour before raid ends. (she has this whole hour thing going). Keep at it and dont lose hope. Find something to keep your mind entertained I read things link the daily blink or the forums, of course you can always just camp and do other things to.

Well I killed Karkin because I couldn't find him a home and I didn't want to just leave it there until someone came by (still haven't seen any other hunters out here 5 hours later) so I grabbed the haste buff and put him down.

It was as humane as a half dozen arrows in the back can be.

Edit: Right when I tabbed back after posting this Kirix spawned. Ate this other hunter about 8 times before I tamed him on my second try using the haste buff and the floating rock to get him.

WooHoo!!!!! That is sooo awesome it's about time you got your kitty. I was a nervous wreck this morning to cause when I logged on NPCscan went off and it was Skarr I was looking for you but you weren't on so I tamed just now for a timer but felt soo horrible for doing it cause I wanted you to have it. Now I can relax cause you have it.
