WoW History

Unread post by Sticks »

I know the history is on the website but does anyone have it in an offline format as I can't view the website from here and I want to read it as I've never played warcraft before and I want to read all the history :)

Cheers

you could always get the books :3 to my knowledge WoW was built up from the 3 original games (the 3rd one having two different versions-- reign of chaos + the frozen throne), and books. There is so much lore you can read on for a good few days on the website if you want to know every little bit of everything (im like that :P), the books put down very key events but there is lore that is lost and the authors dont neccesarilly follow the games real lore so theres some conflicts

Edit: the original games and the books are the only non-online things i know of to find out lore (im pretty sure the old games dont need internet)

The Warcraft history is very extensive. I'd recommend perusing a site like WoWpedia (http://www.wowpedia.org/Portal:Main), going back and playing through the original RTS games, or if they don't interest you I'm sure you could find videos of people playing, or at least the cut scenes. There are books, but not all of them are strictly 'canon'.

It's hard to just learn everything right off the bat, but if you're really into learning it you'll pick it up piece by piece. :)

I wasn't so much interested in learning everything there is to offer, just abit of background like the chapters on the website but as I said I can't get to the website from here as the company have it blocked for some reason and I can't buy books unfortunately as I'm on an oil rig in the middle of the north sea lol

Just wanted something to read in my downtime and I thought what better than the WoW history. If someone was extra nice and had the time to copy and paste the history from the website and pdf it I would be forever in their debt :D

I think you can only upload image files.
