Now I hate jumping games with a passion. I find a likely spot and leap, then leap again, all the while expecting to fall to my death or see myself miss the tame to the other hunter, by mere seconds. But no...I land safely and start the tame sequence, heart pounding the whole time: Tame Beast, Silencing Shot, Deterrence/haste pot/Tame Beast. And prayed. That was the longest several seconds of my life, catching a Fireball to the face, then seeing the world's slowest recast of Fieroclast Barrage start...and then Skarr becomes "Cat" and hops to my side. I couldn't believe it. I'd gotten him.
The other hunter congratulated me...and I do hope he gets him the next time around. I /cheered and /hugged that cat, then bugged out so my new pet wouldn't set off anyone's NPCScan to take some pictures and find the cat a name.

First, we stopped at the entrance to the Firelands raid. Now I know in this picture, it says his name is "Grim"...but he let me know pretty dang quick he did NOT like that name, and wanted the other one I'd been considering. A quick Certificate of Ownership later, and he was rechristened "Forge," which was much more to his liking.

We're kings of the world, Ma! Another stop at the Sanctuary of Malorne...and the stag god may never be quite the same again.

For everyone on Feathermoon - of both factions! - who encouraged me, offered to help, kept me company, whispered me spawn timers, and wouldn't let me give up on this cat - thank you so much. You guys seriously rock my socks.
