I felt the same way about my tame of Magria and Karkin. I watched several hunters fail, even after I explained the challenge (they were horde as well). They somehow couldn't manage to hop the rocks to get in range to tame Karkin, and then a worgen hunter swoops in, hops the rocks easily, and starts trying the tame. However, he didn't silence Karkin and died. I refused to let the alliance take a rightful horde tame, so I tamed him the right way and apologized to the two other horde hunters. There didn't seem to be any hard feelings and they all gave me a nice grats, but I still felt bad. I now have crabzilla sitting at my side.
As for Magria, I was afk for about 15 minutes, came back and saw that about 10 minutes ago some hunters were arguing that Magria was untamable because she kept one shotting them. I explained the challenge, but they just said "oh well, i bet someone already got her" and didn't respond further, so I decided what the heck and went to see if she was still there. To my shock, she was, running around swatting beetles and ready to be tamed, not another soul in sight. So I got naked and tamed her with ease. Now I got my own 'Cat of the Canals'. Hah. Cookies if you get the reference.
Still, I feel awful and feel like a griefer, but these people HAD failed and didn't decide to act on my advice, so...I dunno. =(

... uh no. It's still a person at the keys. And sometimes having helpful opposite faction buddies is awesome.
That said, sometimes people just don't catch on to a strat. I've had several give up on Solix till I could roots her with my druid alt. Or Kirix, who a lot of hunters don't seem to grasp that you need to tame pull.
