First off, my day starts with a visit to the Molten Front right off as the server come up from maintenance.
I get into Molten Front and npcscan goes off for Karkin. I dismiss it as a false alarm because I'm not near his spawn point.
But, I figure a visit to his spot couldn't hurt.
I sneak over to there, and the moment I arrive, I see Skarr spawn with the accompanying npcscan.
Unfortunately, I'm not close enough and not ready to attempt to tame him either and a night elf beats me to it.
An hour or so later, after doing my dailies, I decide to check out Northrend for some rares.
No Skoll, no Arcturis...but Loque is right there waiting for me.
But that's not why I'm telling you.
So I head over to look for Magria or Ankha.
I park myself over by the portal...there is another hunter a little way down, but competition is good.
Suddenly, npcscan goes off for Ban'thalos.
Now, I'm all naked and there's plenty of hunters and even others floating around, and they've definitely spot him.
I put my gear back on and fly over to the highest tree...I fall to my death and try again.
A night elf druid puts moonfire on him...and falls to his death. He circles a couple of times, I'm trying but I can never quite pull him properly.
Suddenly, a paladin has him pulled down the ground and is killing him.
I fly over quickly and try to tame him.
It doesn't work the first time, so I throw an ice trap at him.
The paladin goes down, as the trap breaks...but he's still right beside me and not moving so I cast tame beast again.
3...2...1...wait...where'd he go?
Another hunter watching says "he despawned"
I checked my pets...and he's there!
Grats from the other hunter, and then the paladin returns, and apologizes not knowing that he was supposed to be a pet.
I sent the paladin a little gold and thanks for the unintentional help (and subsequent death)
So now I've got four separate spirit beasts (Ban'thalos, Loque, Gondria, Karoma) in just a few days that need names.
There here is!
