Terrorpene!

So I'd been trying to get him for weeks. Saw him once and got killed by an Alliance druid so his hunter friend could get the tame, and then nothing, week after week of nothing.

So I left myself sitting on a rock in the fire pool area when I logged out this morning.

I log in just now and NPCscan goes crazy. He's right there! So I dismount to make sure I'm petless, try to tame -- too far! -- mount my drake again, fly to the next rock, and this time it works. He keeps hitting me for 10k each time but at 85 and with mostly purples I'm at 125k HP, and I can quickly tell there's no way he's going to kill me before the tame finishes.

And it does. He turns green and shrinks and becomes "Turtle <Mindala's Pet>"

No interference whatsoever.

Non-dramatic, but ... after some of the drama before, I'm glad!

Completely forgot to screen-cap during the tame, but here he and Mindala are, sitting on that rock, catching their breath!

I'm so, so jealous of you. xD I've been camping Terrorpene for quite some time now as well, and have yet to see him at all. D: Hopefully soon I'll get some of that luck you had. ^_^

Terrorpene was a "WTF IS THAT THING!?" moment for me. I tamed him with help from priest shield and fort at lvl 84 after he ate my face a few times. No one on my server ever seems to want Terrorpene and he's always up when I fly near that area. Poor guy's Tear of Loyalty will remain on him until a loving hunter comes along and decides to love the poor fire turtle.
