I've started playing WoW again, a little here and a little there. I'm on the old server where Rhyela first started before I transferred her to Ysera and changed her name, which is kinda cool. She's a hunter, of course - a blood elf named Ariela (I have an -ela thing going on, as -ela means "hawk" in a D&D name generator I found online, and hawks are like my most favoritest bird). However, unlike the past several hunters I've created and tried to level, I think this one's going to be different. I plan on not taming anything unless I feel that special something between us. I don't want to just randomly run around and tame crap. This hunter has a story, and she's on a journey to find that special companion, the one that will be her best friend. I don't honestly know what pet that will be, but I think I'll know it when I see it. Even if this quest takes me to level 85 without a pet, so be it. I'm also intending to not "travel" to find a pet. In the past, I've taken my characters to other continents in search of their pet. But, since I'm trying to RP this one, she has no way of knowing about pets on other continents, so I'm only going to try to find something to tame in the places I quest.
Should be interesting! I've already abandoned my starter pet. I never named it or anything. In my story, it was just a "loaner" pet that the trainers give young hunters until they are ready to strike out on their own, then they take their trained animal back to loan to another new hunter.
Not really needing advice or anything like that, I just felt the need to blab about it a bit.
