If I'd known Kirix was an easier tame (the little spiders) I wouldn't have busted my ass to get him as soon as I hit Firelands. =(

I feel dumb now. I do have Deth and Solix to make up for it tho.

IDK if you realize, but Solix and Deth'tilac are now the only unique models of the lava spiders. There are now hatchlings that look exactly like kirix. The way to prove that they are rare is NPCscan. IF anyone asks, make them remove their cache, log on in the molten front. Make them incorporate the pets and their codes into NPCscan. If you pull out the pet, (Anthriss, skitter, etc) their NPCscan will go off. It's pretty pointless to do it though.

lol this post wasn't about kirix anyway but you are badly wrong , those small green spiders looks the same as kirix but they are NOT tameable . that mean there are other spiders with green skin , but you can ONLY tame kirix . so kirix is still unique . and hardest spider in my exp to tame .

and if you could tame one of those small spiders then . you should make a report bug in your realm forums because they are not tameable in my realm . or maybe I should make a report in my realm forum ? lol that they are not tameable for my realm .

unfortunately I can't open wowhead for some unknown reason at this time , maybe their server is down or something but I am sure I read there that you can't tame any other green spider but only kirix . I will check it when it's up . now gonna see if I can tame one of those little spiders in molten front . if you mean those .

Yozban, there are indeed tamable green spiders. There are *two* types though, one pack that is not tamable, and a 'rare' pack that are. There's details in this thread:

Yozban, I found my Skoll after a 9 hour camp at his spawn point above Brunnhildar Village. I had seen him tamed in front of me countless times before that and once some Alliance killed him as I prepared for my tame. I just sat myself in front of the big silver disc at his spawn point and read a book/worked on school work. Between 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after every hour I would fly around to his other spawn points to check. He spawned right in front of me at 9:06 pm. It's much easier to camp for him now that the zone is basically empty. Sometimes pets come to you when you finally decide to give up on camping them, and sometimes they just need a little encouragement. Don't give up! Skoll is beautiful and I totally adore him.

yes you are right about camping and patrolling around in certain times . by the way I just need him to complete my spirit beasts collection . my favorite spirit beast is ban'thalos and after that karoma .

Deleting a rare because there is another rare like him? That's silly. I'm not fond of taming things that aren't a unique skin but you camped Kirix and you would have to camp those little green spiders. They seem to happen less often than Kirix. When you pull out a green spider EVERYONE knows that it's a rare. If you have already abandoned Kirix then I'm sorry but that is the craziest thing I've heard all day however, I just woke up about 10 minutes ago so there is plenty of time for some crazy.

Agreed. Kirix was the hardest spider tame for me. I wouldn't care if he became as common as the Anthriss skin. He's still *my* Kirix that took me several attempts on several days to get right.

Actually, facing an empty zone means not only will you not lose a spawn to someone else at another point, but that your rare will probably be up longer if nobody is around to tame or kill him. While hunting for TLPD I saw Skoll spawn. He was up for almost 20 minutes before I found someone in guild to come tame him. Also, I was leveling archaeology on my shaman in Zul'Drak and came across Gondria. No idea how long she'd been up, but I switched over to my hunter, zeppelined out to Northrend, and flew out to Zul'Drak and was still able to catch her up and wandering around in an empty zone. It's MUCH easier to get your rares when the zone is empty.
