Oh Deth, you made me feel like a right twat.

We had the perfect setup, a guildie and I. No one was around while we were camping for Skarr for her, and on a whim I threw out an eagle vision- lo and behold, Deth was sitting there all by her lonesome. It was perfect I tell you, no-one but my guildie and I. No one!

So! We head down there faster than lightning, setting up our traps and sacrificing our pets failed tame after failed tame, taking turns in our luck.

And finally, it comes down to me and Deth. My guildie is dead and quickly scrambling for her body, and I've sent off a trap and a concussive shot.

Long story short, I had half a second left on my tame and Deth Metal hit. Before I knew it she was dead and so was I.

All of my tears. All of them.

/sigh.

At least I know the spawn time.

Thats the problem with people dying to get Deth's health down. I did it the hard way and just dps'd him until he was ready (not alone, that'd be nuts, but with a lock dotting him up). I didn't even risk it by sending my pet in to die for his health to drop. ><

We ended up later finding out that the sacrifice method made it faster and I ended up helping at least 6 hunters tame Deth since.

To be perfectly honest, I had NO IDEA that something/someone dying to Deth would make him lose health. I just thought the challenge was the tons of health. Thats why I paid that lock 2k for helping me. It'd have taken ages otherwise. The lock's demon did die to Deth once, so I guess it might have helped a bit.

I have to say, that's dedication right there. I'm impressed, dpsing Deth didn't even occur to me. I was busy throwing out traps and trying my hardest to stay the heck away.

I suppose though if you're spamming revive pet and nervously watching a giant creepy-crawly coming towards you, you're bound to have a mind blank on occasion. xP

That's really nice of that lock to help you out, too~

The lock also had aggro on Deth til almost the end too and kited him almost the whole time, letting me dps Deth and pop cooldowns without worrying about Deth eating me. He earned his 2k, even though he declined twice saying he was just helping out and would do it for anyone.

Man i actually tamed deth today and skarr, what happend with deth was well he was actually really really easy (read lucky) and well i started to battle him lost pet instantly and just ran in circles while shooting him i get like 10% off him when another hunter comes by and starts to kill him all this time im still running around him slowing him snake traps never working once so i just keep getting him down when an ally rouge comes by trys to help but just gets killed the second get gets the threat so its just me and this troll hunter and he helps me get it down, then i finally try the tame the first time he gets to close so i gtfo, the second he literally just got within range of killing me and i pull of the tame. needless to say the troll hunter was a cool dude and it took me like 5-10 mins but all i had to do was concuss shot and he literally couldnt touch me, i added a ice trap or two but was actually an easy tame, i couldnt get the sacrifice method to work but in the end i got him
the skar tame was plain easy silence deterence and tame, was easy but i was shocked at that i just strolled by and saw him on my radar so i tamed him

Good news, everyone!

After feeling like a fool I camped Deth up for my guildie (who was so forgiving for my brain-dead kill) and we had a successful tame. Ten hours later on the dot I decide to crawl out of bed and try my luck. After a few minutes of idly standing around Deth decided to spawn right in front of me. I can't explain the awesome feeling of having a rare spawn right before your eyes.

Requesting (read as: anxiously asking) my Death Knight friend for assistance, we kite the beauty around for a few minutes while I summon my Hive Controller pet over and over while she casts chains of ice.

All went well!

Named her CircaSurvive on a whim after the band I was jamming to at the time.

Edit: On a sadder note and speaking of Skarr, my poor guildie keeps getting griefed by Alliance when she's mid-tame. Four mid-tame kills and counting. I'm getting rather tired of this, I can't imagine what she's feeling right now. :I
