Aotona - Does she still spawn?

I've been wanting this bird since WOTLK and have been searching for her since then and haven't seen her at all, not even as another hunter's pet. Does she just spawn super rarely or did they just remove her entirely from the game? I see King Krush around all the time, so I don't see why they'd remove Aotona. This is a beautiful bird and I really want her.

I had her as a pet twice on my main hunter, I don't see why they would take her out or how they could (even accidentally). They didn't touch Northrend, except to remove portals from Dalaran and later add portals to Stormwind and Org.

I'm still circling for Krush, I've only seen him alive once and he got killed. Every other time after that, I've only seen his corpse.
Don't give up, it just takes some time to camp her since she has such a large area to spawn in.

I saw her 4 days ago flying through Sholazar, so she's still around. Maybe just really random on your realm?

I got her since Cata came out, so I know she's still out there. You could just always be missing her. Or if the rares share the spawn timer, you could just be on a REALLY unlucky server where she almost never ends up rolling the winning number. You could also always be just missing her. I mean.. Iknow I used to check some spawn points every time i played for months, and NEVER saw Skoll, for example, untamed.

I helped a hunter tame her yesterday.

She doesn't share a timer with Krush or Loque.

I've hunted her off and on some over the years, but never actually have spotted her in the wild.

I had the exact same problem. Seen maybe 2 hunters with her ever and took me many many days of circling to finally spot her in the wild myself. Good luck I know she's a tough one!

Alas, Aotona is one of my pets that I haven't really bonded with. I plan to take her out some more and see if I can get it to work, because she's so visually appealing.

No need to worry, Aotona still spawns.
I just tamed her (It's a female, right? ) tonight. ( 2011 - 07 25, patch 4.2.0 )
