Furious over Skarr's needless death

A fellow horde DK killed Skarr, once again depriving my friend Midst of her pet. She claimed she didn't know it dropped no loot, even though Midst and I were both yelling that it did not and to stop killing it. Ignorance and griefing is really making me more and more jaded about this game. I had just got done rehoming Deth to a good hunter who was friendly and Deth was not ganked, so I was feeling pretty good, then THIS happened. This DK bitch kills Skarr while Midst and I watch in horror. She had tried taming him with my help and another hunter's but failed, and then this DK just jumped up and started wailing on Deth, even tho she had seen Midst try to tame Skarr. I would have opened another ticket, but my first one hasn't been answered.

This needs seriously fixed, as I've said many times. Make the mobs immune/unkillable and only able to be brought down by taming, just like Ghostcrawler. What is so hard about that? They DID IT BEFORE! Ghostcrawler is living proof.

I've seen Anthriss killed in front of my eyes as I was just about to tame him. (I had just arrived, having spotted him on alt doing dailies)
I've seen Skitterflame killed while some hunters (unsuccessfully, however where trying to tame him.
I came upon Skarr's dead corpse just today, and I'm like dude...why (I've had him for a while...but he's such a cool pet...)

There's no point in killing them...I wish something could be done...

I am sorry that happened but the one thing you can do to prevent people from killing it is hitting tame beast to make skarr/karkin cast barrage and save it from being killed, atleast try to save it from being killed. Its deadly to you but a guy whos trying to kill them already got hit a few times by the fireballs. He'll die you'll hopefully not

This DK was very geared and Skarr was dead before Fieroclast went off. She utterly owned him.

Well sadly jerks are jerks but it does atleast some damage more then the weak little fireball. Nothing you could have done really.. It sucks that people can be so cruel sometimes, people were laughing in general chat about the hunters tear and 25g is 25g, they all quickly shut up when I said something about killing something someone was camping hours for for 25g to help on repair bills for them unfortunately ignorant people are all around.

There are innocently ignorant people. Unfortunately, Skarr and Karkin need some sort of nerfbat because in the case of the paladin whacking Karkin and apologizing - the paladin downed it too fast for anyone to do anything. :/

It was her bday, yes. But not everyone knew that. It just made ME furious. The DK feigned ignorance, but she was extremely well geared and had to have had some hunters in her guild, so she KNEW what she was doing. I would have paid the DK 2k to leave Skarr to Midst. But no, that 25g tear is worth more.

Having hunters in a guild doesn't mean that said hunters know anything about the hunter rares. That's a big assumption on your part. Some people don't read chat while they're in combat. You don't necessarily know that the dk knew what she was doing.

You're entitled to be ticked off, but making up "facts" to support your anger doesn't further justify your frustration.

Thats true, but being that geared just makes me "assume" she knows rares don't drop epics or that she doesn't need them.

Perhaps it was wrong of me to assume that, and I'm sorry if I offended you. Most hunters in my guilds will usually bitch if someone kills a rare or ganks it from them, so unless this hasn't happened in her guild, or she just hasn't watched gchat, then she could really have been ignorant in which case I'm sorry, but it still doesn't excuse her from killing it when we asked her to stop and told her it only dropped 25g. Being geared doesn't always mean shes informed. I've met people in Full T12 and still had no idea about the rares in the front and you can turn off GChat too so it's possible she didnt know as Blizz drilled into our minds that Rares = Loot to sell = Gold.

As I said, I meant no offense if she truly was ignorant, but she ACTUALLY SAID "I'm killing it anyway" after we told her it dropped nothing and it was just a hunter pet, so she truly did do it to be mean. Defend her all you want, me and the five other witnesses know exactly what she said and did and it was not very nice. I mean no offense to anyone, so please, do not ban me. This just really frustrates me to no end that Blizz does nothing for such sought after hunter pets. They literally made Ghostcrawler for hunters by making him unkillable. Though Sarantha you are getting upset a great deal with people on your servers killing rare spawns. I'd suggest taking a break from trying to camp/tame these things for a little bit before the bad behavior of some/many ruin your enjoyment of the game.

I do agree, I think you need a little hiatus from the game if it's making you too stressed out.
