Saw Deth die in a tame attempt (don't know if it was some of the dicks around or to much health lost at the wrong time) then tried mightily to rehome Solix when he popped just to have HUNTERS that could not figure out the tame team up to kill him.

Me, my brothers non hunter friend and another player where lamenting the dicks in gen chat while questing that let those two pets not find good homes. /sigh

Yeah, non-hunters tend to be ignorant jerks about this stuff, and sometimes even hunters are jerks about rare-killing too. I could somewhat understand rare-killing if they were part of an acheevo but c'mon, all it drops is a flipping 25g crystal!!!

At least the person who was a dick agreed to not kill anymore rares and admitted he was a dick. Maybe others will learn from his mistake.

Yeah, although at least when I pointed it out, most people left. There's a couple of jerknoids, but most people go 'Oh' and wander off. Especially if they get their faces eaten.

Anthriss popped today on my server. I went over to her on my hunter and just watched her. I love watching them "in the wild." Someone invited me to a group, and I ignored it. They invited my GM and shes like...For what, to kill the rare with no loot? No thanks.

The inviter was like...OHHHHH OK then.

I then saw a hunter try to tame, and he died. So I whispered him asking if he knew, and then quickly said I already HAD her, and I would help him. I told him how to do it, CS, d/e to the lava, deter, then tame. While he was getting ready to hit deter, Anthriss was attacked and killed by another Alliance.

I swear, Anthriss seems to get killed so often on my server. Makes me sad. She was my first MF spider I tamed, and I love her so much.

Managed to convince someone to not kill Skitterflame today...only to have him killed by someone else while he being tamed. (He was at very low health, so I'm not sure whether he ran out of health, or ran out of energy, as I had a fire hawk all up in my face)

I saw someone griefing a hunter who was trying to tame one of the rare spiders the other day. They kept charging in and breaking the tame which resulted in both them and the hunter getting killed. I asked them to stop and got the "but it drops loot and gives an achievement" excuse. I informed them otherwise but they still continued to charge in, called me a jerk and badmouthed my guild. I love that they are going out of their way to get the other hunter killed and not tame but think that I am the jerk.

I personally believed that Blizzard should have went into greater detail as far as the abilities of the spiders to kill other players. I got to admit, Kirix and Deth are both pretty 'dang mean face to face, but even so. They technically put the rares into the game for the Hunters to have the challenge of taming in the first place right? Why couldnt they all have a ability that makes it where if anything -other- then a Hunter tries to originally tag it, they just get insta-shot? Im sure they could find a way to make something work with hunters trying to steal tames as well. Make it where once its tagged by said original hunter, it'll just flat out ignore the 2nd Hunter unless the first hunter is already dead. I 'dunno really. Kinda pulling at strings here, but I do believe -something- more could have been done. I personally think Blizzard should put down more of a "back hand" against griefers in the first place, every single last one. Be it towards a hunter or not.

Then again I also will admit, my own personal Deth tame was against a Horde hunter who had been not just griefing me for -many many days- but other people as well. Not only just flat out spree-killing Hunters in their camps (And stealing a Skarr tame from what I heard), but he was also very fond of sitting -just- near the friendly zone, and stepping forwards to take out alliance players from a distance, before stepping back into the friendly zone so he couldnt be targeted or harmed, only to /emote laugh, spit, ect on whoever he'd either killed or tried to kill.

I had absolutely no second thoughts about stealing his tame. The guy deserved it. Saw him and a guild buddy of his trying to kite around Deth. So me and my guild ran up there and slaughtered the both of them (multiple times), and I took Deth for myself. (After their failed attempt at realizing they couldnt kill me with a Holy Priest and Holy pally trying to heal me to death so I could tame, they instead decided to try and kill Deth. Tamed it at 13% health) Yeah, I stole a tame. But I stole it from a griefer. So I dont feel even remotely sorry about it.

I wish they'd amend the 'RARES DROP BETTER LOOT!' tip. Karkin got splattered by a paladin and he went 'hurr, I didn't know, I wanted loot'. He downed it so fast we couldn't beg him to stop then he acted like OMG why are people upset!? Gosh, maybe they were sitting there for hours and you ran up and splattered something several hunters were gonna grab.

I understand genuine ignorance, but it's still frustrating.

Oddly enough. I have to say that its better then seeing a fellow Hunter, kill Karkin just because he wanted to reset the timer to try to get Skarr. And I know for a fact he didnt ask around if anyone wanted it. I just happened to eagle eye over, saw him, then actually *saw* Karkin spawn while I was eagle eyed, and he just laid into the poor thing instantly when he saw it. He didnt even bother to loot the crystal. So disrespectful.

This made me feel a bit better tonight about Karkin though.



Another hunter, instead of killing it on her Skarr-camp, let me know it was alive so I could tame it. There are good people out there.
