Tips for Time-Lost ?
What are people's tips when camping the Time-Lost ? I've camped him before earlier this year, running into 6 (!) bodies of him and killing a handful of Vyragosas, Skolls and Dirkees. Recently, since I've tamed all the rares from the Molten Front that I want, I've started camping him again. So far I've seen 2 Vyragosas and another body of Vyra, plus 3 Skolls and a Dirkee. At the moment I've been camping near the Bor's Breath spawn (one of my 2 Vyras spawned there, the second flew down from the Ulduar spawn). Has anyone got tips for a better camp spot or anything on respawn timers ?

If you go to tlpdresource.com you'll find everything you need. And stay on ONE spawn spot, do not move. That's how I got mine. It doesn't matter which one you're on, just pick one and stick to it. I got mine at the Waterfall but again, it's random.

Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
I'd suggest camping at the Frozen Lake spawn point as seen at tlpdresourse.com. Not only is it a spawn place, but it is also right next to the TLPDs most used flight path.

Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
There's a specific flight path for each spawn point...in fact, you can sometimes figure out where it spawned from where you found it.
Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
As long as you're seeing / killing Vyra, you're doing something right.
Camp the Frozen Lake, one spawn is RIGHT ontop of there (i've had Vyra spawn on me twice), the spawn by the waterfall loops around there pretty quickly, and the Ulduar spawn will eventually make it down there as well. (My TLPD kill was actually a Ulduar spawn believe it or not... on the frozen lake!)
If you have a friend or another account, have them hover over Brynhildar Village. Every once in a while I would fly down the frozen river there JUST in case... but it does come with a Risk of missing the spawn.
Here's my post on TLPD on wowhead:

Good luck!If you're by yourself, I recommend camping the Frozen Lake spawn point, this spot covers 3 of the possible paths, and it also includes one direct spawn point. Problem is that you'll miss entirely the Brunnhildar Village spawn point. I got most of my information before camping from tlpdresource.com, the guy who makes it is obsessed (probably a understatement) over this drake and the new Cata-one as well.
Expect to see Vyragosa....ALOT. I killed Vyra either 11 or 12 times before even seeing TLPD. TLPD spawns roughly 1 out of 15 or 16 Vyras (according to some people) so it may be a while till you finally see a Golden dragon rather than the Blue guy.
NPC scan will go off 1-2 seconds before a dragon spawns. I camped the Frozen Lake spot and two different times Vyragosa spawned directly on me. NPCSCAN will go off and it takes a second or two for you to be able to see/target Vyra (i've seen him appear right in front of me). If you download NPCSCAN and NPCSCAN overlay, I recommend having your speakers up loud, turn down ambience/music, and simply go do other things around the house. Play xbox, watch tv, socialize with others, etc. It helps make it much less tedious because this camp can make A LOT of your TIME LOST.
Also most of the spawn times for Vyra (eventually TLPD) were around 8-11 hours. I remember one around 630 and another was 13ish. I know I could have missed some being only there by myself (and if a brunnhildar spawn would have happened) but thats what i remember going through. I've heard of other reports of a shortened timer since Cata, I didn't experience this though.
Expect to go moderately crazy. You may start to name trees. You may even start to have RP conversations with trees. Anything is possible when it comes to losing your mind.

Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
Anyone tells you Frozen Lake and doesn't know where the spawn spot is doesn't know what the hell they are talking about and just got lucky. I sat on a spawn point, it spawned on top of me on the waterfall and I punched it in the face. End of story. The Frozen Lake waterfall spawn is up on the mountain. Again, tlpdresource is the best place for all the info. Not what someone put on Wowhead. You should see Ponderance's post about Wowhead info that will make you laugh. So many don't know about the four spawn points and sit somewhere on the outskirts. I killed my TLPD while I knew some uninformed jackhole was no more than 100 yards away from me "because Wowhead says it spawns here". See how much he laughed when I flew by him on my new TLPD and showed him the corpse.

Waterfall covers 2 of the 4 routes, frozen lake covers 3.Phaul578 wrote:Anyone tells you Frozen Lake and doesn't know where the spawn spot is doesn't know what the hell they are talking about and just got lucky. Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
And not sit on a spawn spot so someone else can snatch it up....when it's on a "route" and not a spawn as told in great detail on tlpdresource.com chances are you're not going to get anything. Frozen lake covers the spawn on the mountain, the one from the waterfall (good luck nabbing that on a high pop server) and the one ALLLL THE WAY over by Ulduar (again, good luck). See it's simple math, you sit on a spawn you have a 25% chance to nab him, you don't, well, you figure it out.Royi wrote:Waterfall covers 2 of the 4 routes, frozen lake covers 3.Phaul578 wrote:Anyone tells you Frozen Lake and doesn't know where the spawn spot is doesn't know what the hell they are talking about and just got lucky. Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
The spawn on the mountain will be RIGHT in your face if you're sitting on frozen lake.

Re: Tips for Time-Lost ?
Frozen Lake spawn:

I used the addon Routes to make a route on my map/minimap for each of the possible 4. In case I'd ever have to chase it and not quite sure were he'd flown away to.
I got 3 time-losts for three chars by sitting here, the first one was a waterfall spawn, the second I caught spawning at Brunnhildar with Eagle Eye, and this one... I was stupidly lucky, I barely sat there for 10 minutes.
So, like everyone has said, study tlpdresource.com, read the stories there in the forum, and just stick to the spot you chose.

Right there is about dead on to where TLPD or Vyra will spawn.Samskeyti wrote:Frozen Lake spawn:

If you're waiting there it may cause moderate panic because NPCSCAN will go off a few seconds before the mob actually becomes targetable (from my own experience)

Yeah NPC scan loves to go off a few seconds before it appears and then you have to do whatever you can to not die of a heart attack.
