I like them all, but can't decide

As some of you know, I have been camping all the Spirit Beasts since I hit 77 for CWF... You might also know that yesterday, I literally missed Skoll by a minute due to /afk for dinner. My problem is, as much as I really want just about any of the SB's, except Arct, I'm extremely burnt out after missing out on Skoll, and all the camping in general. I was wondering what your opinions were. Should I keep searching? Or should I pick up one of these other pets I've wanted for a while? Or even keep my Humar I found on a whim while getting back from a FTA run?

I say stick with the Spirit Beast hunt. I know it's frustrating, and sometimes it feels as though you'll never get it, but trust me...the day you successfully tame one it will be the best feeling ever. You'll get him eventually, just keep at it. That sense of accomplishment and joy can't be rivaled, it's one of the greatest feelings as a hunter.

If you don't feel like sticking it out, get a moth. They're under-appreciated and beyond awesome. Good damage, quiet, cute and fluffy, what's not to love?

I know hunting the elusive Spirit Beasts of Northrend can be frustrating but believe me when I say it's well worth it. It is something you will keep with you always, even if you decide to release your SB back into the wild. Just don't give up hope because they will show themselves in their own good time. I recommend Veph's "Mystical Skoll Luck Charm" and summoning your personal P.Dawg companion during the hunt if you have one. Can't hurt, right?

And yes. P Dawg has yet another follower..lol

I am not trying to kick dirt in your face while you are down, but I tames skoll for the third time justa couple days ago. It took me about 4 days after I decided to try to take him again for a third hunter. I think part of the reason you are so frustrates is from all the camping you are doing. I usually do it a fairly sinple way : When I am done playing for the day, I park over one of the spawn points for the critter I want. Then, If I have to get up in the night o take a tinkle, I will log on quick enough to see if my future pet is around. If not. i log back off and try again another time. The next day whenI am ready to play, I log on and I get a good look to see if the pet is around. if not, I go about my daily playing as I normally would. Wheni am done with my playing, I go to where the pet is known to spawn and log off. wash, rinse repeat. I used to camp pets like a lot of people do, but really found that it wasn't worth the time, effort or loss of game play. How you look for the pet is up to you, but the way i listed above seems to work really well for me. Happy hunting and I hope you bag your prize soon!

I'd suggest picking ONE spirit beast to go for, for now.

Dweezill made a very good suggestion; knowing about when the SB was killed or last tamed is very useful but if you're hit & miss I know that can get very frustrating.

Regardless, you definitely don't want to turn into a zombie looking for them all at once; check out the SB pictures, which one you really like, & go for that one for now so it's not as stressful.

If there's an easier pet you can obtain, could do that too while, looking for that single SB for now.

I say stick with it. It took me a YEAR of fairly constant hunting to tame Loque. Gondria didn't take quite as long, she was my first spirit beast, but it is worth it.

Guenhwvár, eh? Was that a purposeful reference, or just a name you liked?

Well, I kinda forgot the 'y' in the poll... but yeah, It's a reference to Drizzt Do'Urden. And the problem with picking which I like more is, well, I like Skoll and Gondria equally. while loque has a slight lead, that is turned off by his 8 spawn points compared to 3 Skoll, and 5 Gondria... NTM I have a hatred for Sholozar, way way way to many circles around a place, and seeing what your looking for's corpse 4 times in the process, can really make you want to /roflstomp Griefers and the Zone... So, again, I'm stuck with the fact that I like Gondria and Skoll equally... lol

Then personally out of those two I'd go with Gondria for now. I don't say that because she's my personal favorite, but because Zul'drak - at least on my server anyway - is a lot less populated than Storm Peaks. You gotta remember that at least 2 out of Skoll's three spawn locations are also shared by the TLPD's path. People searching for the dragon may end up seeing Skoll and kill him just to pass some time. But Gondria's spawn locations are kind of in the middle of nowhere (except for the area around Zim'torga which ironically enough is where I tamed her), so you may have an easier time finding her than Skoll.

Just my suggestion.
