Edit because no one has posted, and I don't want to double post:

Just got word from Mother Dearest that the Prime Co-Ordinator and my English/Drama/Film Studies teacher at my former Junior High and High School have been diagnosed with Melanoma and Lung Cancer respectively. Saw it coming, their habits weren't the best, but I feel so sorry that I can't be there to show my support. The teacher's hoping to be back in the school by October, and no word on if the Co-Ordinator's going to come back or not.

So, with this news, along with my Oma going though her own treatments for Lymphoma, I'm feeling just a bit stressed/depressed.


Oh, I should probably tell you guys why he's a "Co-Ordinator" and not a "Principal" at the school. The school that I went to for 6 years was a special school for designed for children and youth with Learning Disabilites. Three people share the same job, it's just their offices that differ in size. You could, for all sake of argument, say one's the 'principal', one's the 'vice principal' and one's the 'vice-vice-principal' of the school, but they never really decided on any formal titles for themselves when the school opened back in the 70's. All three people there in those positions have been there since it opened. So I hope to Thespis Above that this isn't how the Co-Ordinator's career will end. He loves that place so much.

Ack. Moon Guard, people say 'oh it's not THAT bad' or 'Oh, just ignore the trolls' but it's weird because I don't have a problem with the trolls and I don't go to Goldshire. However, I do have many people commenting disgusting things to me, and or following me around in game /boggle. Went to buy my mount, some guy starts following me. Another guy says something gross to me D: eesh. Can't wait till I'm high enough level to spend all my time in outland @_@

Sorry to hear you have to put up with that. :( We're not all like that(do I count because I'm jumping ship as soon as I have the funds to?). Playing A-side? Because MG's Alliance is horrible, that's a given, but some of the Horde community is the reason I'm leaving in the first place.

Edit: Different rant, I've got a lovely lovely lovely gray and blue global theme for my Firefox, but it tends to eat some images and some of the text fields are dark red for some reason. :l

I really hate guild achievements/challenges.

My raid leader swore back when the guild levels were first announced that she would never make our raid a 'guild raid'. I put Daashi in the raid guild that she created because she had put two of hers in my RP guild that I run with the agreement that we would each help the others guild level to cap. She had a falling out with some of my members and pulled both her characters, but begged me not to pull Daashi out of her guild, so I left him in.

We managed to get it so that the raid had eight members in guild (counting Daashi) and two not. But she was recruiting actively, in hopes of getting enough to make a twenty-five man raid. I'm not comfortable with the new members. They have names that severely break the ToS for an RP server (including some that are copyrighted). They brag about killing rares when they see them. Many of them are actively antagonistic to RPers.

I told her recently that once the guild hits 25, I'm pulling Daashi out. I'll have kept my part of the promise by helping the guild level to cap, whether she kept her half or not. I hadn't mentioned it to anyone else, in hopes of avoiding drama. Last night we had the first raid meeting since the guild was formed. During it she informed the entire raid of my intentions and made it clear that if I pulled Daashi either I or another raider (also not in guild) would lose their raiding spot.

Given that I've been raiding with this same group since Kara, it was almost unanimous that I would be the one to stay, not the other player. The other player decided to pull his character out of his current guild and move into the raid guild.

So now I feel guilty, because he had to leave a guild he enjoys to move to a different guild he enjoys, just so that I can leave a guild where I'm not happy. If it had honestly come to it, I would have stepped down and just stopped raiding, but he and I were both put on the spot by her making the announcement during the raid meeting. And now I find myself more and more anxious to leave the guild, since I can't help but feel that there's going to be some animosity toward me over my decision to do so being made public. I feel as though my promise to stay until level 25 has left me trapped in a guild where what little goodwill I had was gone, plus another friend of mine has gotten extremely tired of us being in the middle of RP only to have my raid leader suddenly beg and plead and hound me until I get on my raiding char to join them for getting guild achieves for old raids and instances that I've said repeatedly I have no interest in personally.

Silver lining, at least, I -will- get to leave the raid guild and still raid, but...did it have to be done in such a way that leaves me paranoid until it's over?

So My Dad's coming for a visit from out of town, and all I asked the BF to do was empty out the sink (all the dishes HE put in there) so I could get some more dishes cleaned. Simple right? Easy right? ...Nope, he couldnt be bothered, instead he starts listing off all the things I still have yet to do and so he doesnt have to do anything I ask until all the things he's told me to do are done...

I only work 2 days a week, the rest I spend at home with our 1.5yr old daughter. Yes I agreed to be the primary house cleaner while I am not working lots. But, that doesnt give him the right to come home, mess the place up, boss me around, so that he can sit there watching tV, playing on the ps3, or painting warhammer...

All I ask of him to do around the house is: Take out the garbages/recycling (on his way to work), Clean the kitchen/bathroom floor (since he's the one that drops stuff and doesnt pick it up so it gets meshed in), Clean the bathroom counter a few times a month (since they're covered in his wiskers and toothpaste spit...we do have a sink...). Everything else I do.

Now there are a few things that I ask him to do that are simple, that really help me do my job: Leave me an empty sink so i can do the dishes, put his dirty clothes in the laundry hamper, not all over the living room or bedroom floor (also empty out his pockets, I am not his mother FFS), and because our daughter is reaching higher things now, to clean up his warhammer stuff so she isnt getting ahold of it all the time.

Considering all the things on my list that I have to do, what I ask of him is pretty simple, quick and easy things to do. (Looking after a very active small child isnt easy, and its very time consuming, Scrubbing washing and putting away a ton of dishes, vacuuming the floors, tiding up toys, feeding the cat/changing litter box, dusting, cleaning/putting away laundry, cleaning the fridge, stove, counters, paying bills, the general odds & ends clean up, there are a bunch of closets that need organizing, etc.)

My BF will be turning 32yrs this month. So its not like he has the excuse of still being young. by 32, he really should have his shit and priorities together. I know he rebells against becoming one of those "whipped" always obays wife kind of guy, and tbh, I dont want a "whipped" hubby, but I would like a helpful partner.

I think that I'll have to speak with his Dad and his Mom/step-dad sometime this week about him and see if we cant come up with a solution that will work for everyone. (the last time there was a major issue about this sort of thing, his family sided with me completely)

Our AC was out for a month. The landlord finally got it fixed Friday morning. So guess when it dies again? Sunday afternoon. ETA this Thursday for a fix, in a week of 100+ temperatures. And I hope they just don't poke at it, call the landlord and tell him something he doesn't want to hear, and leave again ... with the final repair left undone. This is what happened last time, and it took him more than 3 weeks to get it fixed after that.
