Got Magria! Stables full! But I need a corehound...

...So, this last month of july I got REALLY lucky on my camping. A combination of griefing which I received compensation for, and a good quantity of karma I collected while helping other hunters get their pet of choice (one Anthriss, one Ankha, one Ban'thalos), made me tame all the pets I wanted. However...

To get the last one, Magria, I had to release my corehound. Unfortunately, I'm the one assigned to heroism in my raid group (due to a recent shortage of good mages/shamans) so I HAVE to have a corehound ready, so I need to remove a pet from my stable.

After much consideration, I decided to release Shy-Rotam. I got her long after I did the quest (but before cataclysm), thanks to a guildmate who still had to do it, but now that she's always there, I feel I can safely let her go, and wait for more stable slots in the future.

By the way, I'm currently looking at her in the wild, and lo and behold, Rak'shiri is there as well, and Sian-Rotam is nowhere to be found.

If you want a pretty corehound and your raid demands you have one, make them run you through Blackwing Lair to get Chromaggus. He is the best looking corehound in game, imo. The Kurken, the white corehound, is also pretty and fairly easy to get to if you're alliance. If not, be prepared to die a few times getting to him, but if you dont/cant get Chrommie, Kurken is 2nd best.

I appreciate your suggestions, in fact I've just tamed Kurken. I think he's very underestimated, and just because it's easier to tame. He's very pretty, indeed.

I do hope we'll get more stable slots in the future. Blizzard can't add more new pets in future patch without adding slots as well.

I was actually going to suggest Kurken since you'd given up a light-colored kitty. Hope he works out for you!

Are there any core hounds that don't make the stomp noise when they walk? I love the beast, but hate the noise.

I haven't noticed Chromaggus doing that, but it might just be me and the fact that I keep sounds turned down lower than most people.
