After finally getting Banthy (woop!) I did a quick scout around NE for the lil things I need to do next. First off, to the Basin for Aotona and Krush for the achieve. Neither was up but Loque was! He's no longer an elite?! I grabbed a SS whilst a fellow hunter came flying in from Org to rehome him - will upload SS a.s.a.p!
Logged on in SP this morning to have a looksy for TLPD, and Skoll greets me! Again, he's no longer an elite! Just a rare too...So, when did this happen lol? Again, happily rehomed :3
Also of interest, Vyra's portrait has changed, and I think she has shrunk a little. She didn't look at all impressive when I downed her and mounted up on my drake mount - whilst in the past I've always marvelled at how big she is!
SS incoming....
~ZZ~
EDIT:- SS!
Loque - just a rare now
Skoll too -
My personal fav - non elite Baby Vyragosa with a new portrait! So....is TLPD no longer elite neither?!? Yup checked Wowhead and the most recent image upload shows TLPD as a non elite too now - does this affect spawn timers at all?
I'm going to guess it's likely to avoid confusion because they can't mark something with both a silver AND gold dragon.
to PetCollector... Silver dragons do NOT mean elite, they mean rare. A gold dragon signifies an elite beast. The only way to tell if a rare is an elite is to hover over it, and it'll say "Elite" after the level.
If the mobs' hp and dmg were nerfed, then perhaps they changed the dragon to reflect that. If the mobs' stats were left alone, perhaps they feel the mobs are easy enough to kill/tame that the "elite" tag was scaring off people who could easily kill/tame them.
Most of the Northrend rare "elites" were never actually elite, they just had the elite dragon and tag. Their stats were not elite at all. Some zones had one real elite (King Krush, Grocklar, Putridus the Ancient) but for the most part they were just plain rares with an elite tag.
