So thanks to some browsing on here and wowhead, I discovered and can confirm that if you see these little guys up, they're tameable. So those who like the Kirix model but are going nuts trying to tame it or are unsure if it's the one for them, pick one of these up.
The catch is though, that it'll be the broodlings or the clutchkeeper up. It's a 50% chance of one or the other, so no long camping required - just see what's up the next day. A little tricky trying to catch one though, the little buggers run fast.
THE REAL KIRIX WILL SMITE YOU FOR YOUR BLASPHEMY! There is only one black and green spider in my books. The REAL Kirix!
Haha, anyway, grats on the find and it'll do a lot of people who like his model but can't tame him good. I'm guessing those little suckers are easy to tame?

A lot easier than the one who smites all that appear before it.
Some people, like me, aren't sure if the pet is a right fit. I don't mind putting in the camp for the rare ones, but I also don't wanna take from someone who is head-over-heels in love with it.
I guess I can say the cinderweb broodling is a "free sample" for those that wanna save gold on repairs.
I tamed Kirix in about 8 seconds. It was easy. He and I were MEANT for each other. <3
And I love his skin coloration and he is the perfect fit for me.

The tame itself is simple; just snag one of the little ones running around. Trapping it (in a teeny tiny freeze trap) is optional. The hardest part is finding them at all, since it's so terribly random.
I've seen them pop out of druid bodies, but hunters can't seem to tame those. I saw a tauren trying and he kept saying "WTF this isnt tamable!?"
I guess it is only those little runners.

There are two kinds of Cinderweb Broodling... The ones that spawn from the druids' bodies are indeed not tameable, the other ones which spawn in random little packs (generally on the other side of that whole spider area, from what I have seen and read) are: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=53753 (so 53753 for npcscan).
I'll also add that I had never seen the little tameable ones until the day I finally snagged one for myself, about 2 weeks ago or so... But when they were spawned, they were everywhere, tons of packs of 10-12 of them. I'd seen plenty of days without the Clutchkeepers (if you read the comments of that wowhead link, you'll see that some people had it confirmed that either Broodlings or Clutchkeepers spawn each day, supposedly at random with even odds) but I believe the long respawn timer on the Broodlings. But as I said, once they spawned, they proliferated.
Much gratitude to Spiritbinder for the signature and Vephriel for the avatar!<3

I can picture Cinderweb Broodling day in the front and bodies litter the area where the yellow spiders are and all thats alive there are these skittering little guys, nothing else, just bodies of players and the broodlings skittering about in full swarm as happy as can be
Ahhh....that'd make my man happy. An army of Kirix babies all with his abilities....
